How does segmental body composition analysis work?
Body Scan uses advanced multi-frequency bio-impedance. Low-intensity electrical currents are sent through the body via the electrodes on the platform and the handle. The speed and manner in which these currents are returned allow for the calculation of tissue resistance, and consequently, the estimation of fat and muscle mass in different parts of the body (trunk, arms, legs). The different frequencies enable a better distinction between intracellular and extracellular water, increasing accuracy.
Why is the handle necessary for measurements?
The handle is essential for segmental body composition analysis and the 6-lead ECG. By holding the handle, the bio-impedance electrical current passes through the entire body, including the arms and torso, thus allowing for a detailed analysis of each body segment (right arm, left arm, right leg, left leg, torso). For the ECG, the electrodes on the handle, combined with those under the feet, allow for recording a more comprehensive and precise cardiac signal, similar to a medical ECG.
Is Body Scan multi-user?
Yes, absolutely. Body Scan can automatically recognize up to 8 different users. Each user will have their distinct profile in the Withings App and their personal data.
What app is used with Body Scan?
All data measured by Body Scan is centralized and analyzed in the Withings App. This intuitive app allows you to visualize your long-term trends, understand your data with clear explanations, and share your health reports with your doctor if you wish.
Is the Withings App free?
Yes, the Withings App is completely free!

Is 24-hour delivery available?
We do not offer 24 hour delivery but we do offer express delivery with a delivery time of 1-2 working days from shipment.
What is Withings' return and refund policy?
You may return your product for one of two reasons:
- The device is defective and may need to be replaced.
- You make use of your right of withdrawal; however, for hygiene reasons, returns are not accepted for U-Scan Nutrio.
Customers are responsible for return costs if the product is not defective. If you have any concerns, please contact our customer support team before returning the product.
