BeamO Pro is a 4-in-1 health monitor that captures four categories of clinical-grade data in a single device: body temperature and fever detection, 1-lead ECG with AFib detection (only available in Europe), blood oxygen level (only available in Europe) and heart rate, and heart and respiratory sounds. This breadth of cardiovascular and respiratory data makes BeamO Pro a uniquely comprehensive solution for remote patient monitoring programs.
How can BeamO Pro be used in different care settings?
BeamO Pro is designed to support 3 distinct care scenarios. In a remote patient monitoring context, patients use BeamO Pro at home to continuously stream cardiovascular and respiratory data, giving care teams real-time insights for proactive intervention. For home visits, its portable form factor allows care teams to conduct comprehensive clinical assessments directly at the patient's bedside. For virtual care, patients can capture and transmit all necessary health data before the consultation begins, enabling deeper and more efficient clinical interactions.
Is BeamO Pro suitable for patients who are not tech-savvy?
BeamO Pro was designed to be intuitive enough for patients to use independently at home, without requiring technical expertise. Data is automatically transferred to the Withings cloud via cellular, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth, so patients simply focus on taking their measurements while care teams receive the data seamlessly.
How does BeamO Pro connect and transmit patient data?
BeamO Pro supports cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity, ensuring reliable data collection across all patient populations and living environments. For patients without stable cellular access, the Connect Assistant app provides a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth fallback. All measurements are transferred securely and continuously to the Withings cloud, where they can be accessed through your platform of choice and integrated into existing clinical workflows.
Is BeamO Pro CE marked and FDA cleared?
Yes. BeamO Pro is both CE marked and FDA cleared, meeting the regulatory standards required for professional healthcare use. Note that AFib detection via ECG and SpO2 are currently available in Europe only.
