Babyscripts RPM Program, including Withings BPM Pro 2 & care management services, was deployed at an MFM practice in Maryland:

Challenge

Patients struggle to adhere to classic BP monitoring due to inconvenience, lack of education, and SDOH factors. Many fail to procure the BP cuff or return to the office for BP checks.

Solution

Enroll patients in Babyscripts RPM program and deliver Withings BPM Pro 2 cuff at point of care. App and care managers support ongoing patient engagement with education, regular communication and scheduled check-ins.

Results

96.8% of patients enrolled in Babyscripts RPM activated their Withings BPM Pro 2.

96% of enrolled patients took weekly BP readings.

70% of enrolled patients took daily BP readings

"The monitor is really user friendly and makes me feel like I'm taking precautions for my health and my baby. I was a little nervous at first but knowing that this can help detect high blood pressure makes me feel at ease."

Patient Story: Detecting preeclampsia earlier in high risk pregnancy

5-8% of pregnancies in the US are complicated by preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is the largest contributor to cardiovascular disease deaths during pregnancy.

A 33-yr old pregnant woman with lupus, prior kidney transplant, and a history of chronic headaches was enrolled in Babyscripts RPM at 22 weeks and given a Withings BPM Pro 2 to monitor BP from home.

- Throughout her pregnancy, the patient supplemented in-office BP readings with readings on her Withings BPM Pro 2. 23 readings were out of range, triggering care management response and escalation to the care team.

- At 25 weeks, the patient was diagnosed with preeclampsia.

- With the help of ongoing monitoring with Withings BPM Pro 2 and oversight by Babyscripts care managers, she was able to carry her pregnancy to 34 weeks, at which point she registered several out of range readings and her care manager advised her to go to the hospital.

- Patient admitted to hospital; induced due to preeclampsia at 34w2d

“It was so nice to have the data and the care managers backing me up. I could bring that to the doctor and it showed that I wasn’t making it up in my head.”
