4.0 out of 5 starsIt just works!
I have used this for about a year now. I am amazed at how accurate the data seems to be. I know I don't sleep well, but the sleep tracking pad tells me where the problems are. I am sure this is not as accurate as a sleep study, but it gives me a good base for comparison. Easy to install. Even easier to use. Just run the Withings program and it automatically downloads the data.

5.0 out of 5 starsDetects presence well
Using two of these for my wife and I to detect when we are in bed. That functionality seems to work okay, though sometimes it detects both our presence when only one of us is in bed. Also finding that the sleep tracking is not the best. The results are typically different than what is detected by the Apple Watch.

Wish I did this years ago
This is superb, it helps me keep track of my sleep and identify patterns that I can then fix. Also had no idea I was a snorer till using this 😂

Great but disappointing
I purchased a used item with a rating of "very good" due to my desire to be healthy and my desire to minimize expenses. When it arrived, the box was open, but I thought it was unavoidable because it was a used item. When I took out the contents, it was in very good condition!! However, there was a faint smell...a smell that I dislike, like an old man's smell. I naturally moved away from it, but even when I was 2-3 meters away, I could still smell it. I was shocked. Although it was a used item, it was rated as "very good" despite having such a strong smell. I learned to be careful from now on. By the way, the function is perfect.

Sleep score that matches the feeling
I have been measuring my sleep score with the smartwatch fitbit charge5 so far, and it matched my own feeling. The score of this smart sleep pad was very similar to fitbit. It also measures heart rate, snoring, and irregular breathing. In addition, compared to various smartwatches, it is good that the time from waking up in the morning to checking the score is short.

Good functionality but broke in 3 years
Although it monitored well and had no problems with functionality, it broke down after about 3 years with the air pump making a loud noise, so I had to dispose of it with tears. It was not cheap, so I wish it had lasted a little longer. There seem to be several reviews of other breakdowns, so durability may be weak. However, there still seems to be no other choice but this product for pad type...

It collects the data but does not make use of the information
The device is capable of tracking breathing rate via respiratory sinus arrhythmia but it does not provide that data. It it also capable of determining heart rate variability but does not offer that data either. It indicates a 'breathing disturbance'but it does not provide any supporting data that a reasonable person would expect from this claim. Look for better devices that measure under mattress AND share detailed data with the customer.

Very good for tracking sleep tracking
Basically the best tracking product I have tried.

Using it as the main tool for recording my sleep.
As the title suggests, I use it as the main tool for recording my sleep. In fact, I may have a sleep disorder. Therefore, by comparing the records with AppleWatch, I can estimate whether I am really sleeping or not. The results were very interesting. I cannot disclose the specific results as they are personal information. I'm sorry. However, I would like to reiterate that this product is very useful for recording sleep.

The product is good enough despite measurement errors due to its non-contact type.
I think it is quite good as a non-contact (type that does not directly touch the skin, etc.) sleep recorder. It is USB-powered, and the fact that there is no need to replace batteries is a personally favorable factor. In my case, when I am in a situation where I am not sleeping but moving very little, it tends to be misrecognized as sleeping. There are many times when it does not recognize when I have trouble falling asleep or when I wake up in the middle of the night, so the sleep time tends to be slightly longer, but it is stable and within an hour, so it is not a problem for the time being. I used to use a type that was placed next to the pillow from another manufacturer, but the measurement results were so scattered that it was not useful at all, so I became tired of it and stopped using it after a few months. I really want a contact type (with good measurement accuracy), but I have a constitution that gets sweaty and itchy when I wear a watch, etc., so this non-contact type product is very helpful. I plan to give it a 5-star rating if the measurement accuracy is improved by firmware version upgrades, etc.

Monitor your sleep status
This time, I replaced it because I had been using it for about 10 years and it broke. It is very easy to understand for those who want to check their sleep status, and it can also monitor snoring, so it is recommended for those who have concerns about sleep, such as those who are sleepy during the day.

Excellent - Just ordered a second one
I have been using the Withings Sleep Monitor and Scale for a few years and highly recommend it. The feedback I receive on my sleep has encouraged me to develop better sleep habits and improve my overall sleep. I really like the Health Mate app and how it provides me with a record of my sleep and synchronizes with Apple Health. Most importantly the sleep monitor identified I was having a high number of breathing disturbances, even though I felt I was rested and getting good sleep which led me to undergo a professional sleep study that diagnosed me with severe sleep apnea. I now use a CPAP machine and the breathing disturbances it records agree with the Withings breathing disturbances, a helpful confirmation. I was so impressed with the product that recently bought another one for a friend who is experiencing some sleep problems. I had a problem or two with the app and found their customer service was excellent to fix the problem.

Tracks Sleep Good
Good device for tracking my sleep duration, stages, quality, etc. Also provides quick analysis of each night's/weeks sleep and provides tips and articles on how to maintain good sleep habits and improve not so good ones. I wish it also recorded snoring times and sounds and breathing issues (stopping, gasping, etc.) Overall it measures sleep well but could use a few tweaks.

Support staff response error
I inquired if it was possible to manage the same model at home and on a business trip with a single application. At first, they answered that it was possible, so I bought a second one. However, I was later informed that it was actually impossible to operate two devices, so I returned it.

Convenient with approximate data
After using for about 6 months, I’d like to recommend this sleep tracker. Convenient because you don’t need to wear anything. Yes, the data is not 100% accurate, but from what I’ve found and heard from others, it’s good enough. It’s likely that deep sleep is short changed, however, it is consistent. The consistency of data gathering is what matters when trying to track and improve your sleep. Only 4 stars because I know the product can always improve.

Extremely accurate (per independent review)
Check out 'The Quantified Scientist' who did a review of this on YouTube. Turns out it stacks up very well against competing sleep tracking rings and watches.Personally I hate wearing a watch or a ring while I sleep, and this is the only product that offers tracking without having to remember to wear something. Given that, and the fact that the tracking is so accurate, I can't offer anything less than five stars!

Needs to track more vitals
The product relies on an app for it to work, which is fine, but other more streamlined applications such as Fitbit show a better overview of the quality of sleep one has. Maybe implement tracking features and suggestions.

Installed under my Purple Hybrid Premier 3 mattress
I was worried this device might not work with a thick mattress, or a 'non-standard' mattress like Purple's line. I've had it tracking under my Purple 3 mattress for more than a month and it has only failed once (that night it said I woke at 4:30am and never returned to bed even though I did, for another 3 hours). Rest of the time it tracked the true wake up time. One issue is that I typically read in bed for 30-60 minutes. It almost always counts this as 'light' sleep rather than waking time, so if you read in bed it's going to throw off how much total sleep time you actually get. No way to adjust it in the app as far as I can tell.

It is good if you don't want to use wearable during you sleep, but far from being precise. I wish it would sync with other health apps, such as Samsung Health.

3 and a half years
I purchased it in December 2018 and it stopped working around July 2022. The tube must have been punctured as it became empty. I guess it lasted for 3 and a half years if I think of it as a float. I have been using SteelHR and ScanWatch from the same manufacturer, but they cannot measure as accurately as this one. It was also helpful to detect snoring. The detection of falling asleep and waking up is subtle, and the watch type seems to have a more accurate judgment. I was not satisfied that the time I spent rolling around was judged as sleeping time.

Can be used even with a futon
I had used Withings' weight scale before, so I knew about this product, but I had refrained from purchasing it because it was meant to be used under a mattress. Recently, a similar product was announced in +Style that could be used under a sheet, so I inquired if it could be used with a mattress pad instead of a sheet. Although I received a response immediately, it did not answer my question, so I refrained from purchasing it. At that time, I started to reconsider this product, and since the price had dropped during a time sale, I decided to order it. I put a futon on top of a folding bed and put a mattress pad on it. I tried using it by putting it under the futon, and so far, it seems to be working properly. The time it takes to fall asleep is almost the same as my own perception. (I cannot confirm if shallow and deep sleep are accurate.) By the way, it can also be used with a futon, but since this product swells slightly and needs to be aligned with the chest, the protrusion may be uncomfortable and may prevent you from sleeping until you get used to it. Also, if you unplug the USB cable, you need to recalibrate it the next time you use it, so if you unplug it every day, you need to wait 10 minutes after connecting it before lying down. When unplugging it, you also need to wait until the data is linked properly after waking up, so I think it is better to use it on a permanent bed considering the operational complexity.

Just by laying it down
I wanted to check the quality of my sleep so I bought it. Even though I just laid it under my futon, I was surprised that it could log my sleep data.

I was confused about the initial setup
It was difficult to understand from the app instructions that I had to plug and unplug the power plug to connect it to the app. Although the manual said it could be used on a slatted bed base, I put a plastic board on top of the slats and then placed the product on top of it, as it seems to be able to completely cure the pressure of the built-in balloon in the product. It's amazing that it can sense even a 30cm thick mattress. I used to measure my sleep rhythm with my Apple Watch, but I find it very useful because I want to charge it at night and I don't want to wear anything on my wrist while sleeping.

Why can it detect snoring? I don't know, but just by sleeping on it under the mattress, it records the depth of sleep and heart rate, which I think is very good for health management. I also thought the price was cheap.

Don't use on a king bed
As long as I stayed close to the edge of the bed, it worked pretty good. When I drift toward the center of the bed, it does not collect data, so there are huge holes in the data.It shows me only getting a few hours of sleep when I got way more.

Surprisingly easy and helpful
I expected to have to make a bunch of adjustments to this sensor before it accurately tracked sleep, but that wasn't the case. It worked right out of the box, even with my thick mattress and water chilled mattress topper. It sometimes thinks I'm sleeping when I'm just laying very still, but otherwise seems to report quite accurately and without me having to manually sync logs or anything.Great little product!

Simply, I was awake for about an hour in the middle of the night. I used my Ipad, I moved around a bit. I checked my clock for the time multiple times, all involved me moving around. When I checked my sleep info in the morning, I apparently had slept almost that entire hour. So if it has no idea that I am totally awake and moving around, how can I trust anything else it reports.

NEVER WORKED RIGHT FOR ME
This item is well-made and seems professional butI was in contact with the company for over a year hoping that I could get this item to work correctly. They kept telling me that there would be an update to correct the problems but no update ever did.It simply did not work and it was a lot of work trying to get that thing under my heavy mattress.I ended up throwing it in the trash.

Better than HSL-101
I used an old Omron sleep monitor, but I replaced it because the SD card stopped being recognized. It's good that it can monitor not only the depth of sleep, but also heart rate and snoring. However, although the website says that you can see the results immediately after waking up, the communication doesn't seem to work well, and at least for several tens of minutes after waking up, the previous results are not reflected, and even when the results are visible, they may freeze while trying to open the details. Moreover, while it is frozen, you cannot return to the home screen, so you have to force quit the app and start it up again to see the home screen. Also, there is a section for evaluating each item, including battery life, but it is not battery-powered, so I don't understand why this item is displayed.

Didn't actually think it would work but...
I got this because I didn't want to get another Fitbit or some other device to wear. I wasn't sure how it could work, and when I took it out of the package questioned even more..how can this work under a mattress. But much to my surprise, it works great. It seems accurate. It's hard to say about snoring as I'm asleep, but I'm very happy with it. And a lot cheaper than another wearable.

From all the sleep trackers I've used with my apple watch, this seems to be accurate. The one thing I love about this is that you can just have it under your mattress and forget about it, no need to set a timer or start it so it can track.

Better than a smartwatch
I bought this product because I didn't want to wear a smartwatch when I sleep. The following functions are added compared to Withings' smartwatch. 1. Time from getting into bed to sleeping 2. Time from waking up to getting out of bed 3. Degree of breathing disturbance during sleep 4. Snoring size, time zone, and total time 5. Use of IFTTT triggered by entering and leaving the bed Unlike a battery-powered watch, it has a constant power supply, which may be why the number of heart rate monitorings has increased and the heart rate graph in the app has become more detailed. Although it does not record snoring, you can see the time zone, sound level, and total time. I compared it to a snoring recording app and it was almost the same. I was skeptical whether I could really see my heart rate because the mat is quite thick, but I was impressed that the graph was almost the same as when I wore a smartwatch. I use smart home appliances that are compatible with Alexa and Siri, but I don't use IFTTT because I need to register. I thought it would be nice if it could be compatible with products that are compatible with Alexa and Siri, so that I could turn off the lights and play BGM during sleep when I get into bed.

One regret: not buying this sooner!
After screwing around with various cheap no-name smartbands that claimed to do sleep monitoring, it was the fact I was so happy with my Withings wifi scale and wifi BP cuff, along with the HealthMate app being excellent, that pushed me to finally buy their sleep monitor. After seeing what I was missing before, I regret not buying it sooner.I'm amazed that something you stuff under the mattress (not just under the sheets) actually seems to know not just the depth/type of sleep I'm having, but also my heart rate -- from UNDER the mattress! It also reports on 'breathing disturbances' and 'sleep interruptions' -- since I use a CPAP machine for sleep apnea, this is of particular interest to me.I also appreciate that this is powered via a standard USB type-A connector, so of course a USB power adapter is included, but I can also plug it in to any other USB port, such as one of those newer built-in wall plugs, or in my case, I use a simple 12V DC battery backup for my CPAP machine that also includes a USB port, so both my CPAP and sleep monitoring keep running even if the power goes out during the night, and I don't have to use a dedicated power supply for the sleep monitor. One thing that does disappoint me is they don't sell their 'Sleep Analyzer' product in the US, which seems to be an improved version ($30 more) of this product that explicitly monitors sleep apnea -- but our FDA deems it a 'medical device' and regulates it.

Gives good insight to sleep patterns
I bought this because I am interested in how much I snore and what I can do to reduce it.The sleep tracking is not completely accurate. You should know that immediately. An Austrian YouTuber wore scientific sleep tracking sensors and filmed himself sleeping while also using the Withings Sleep. The results did not match. However, that should not put you off because the results were not completely awry.Being under the mattress, it struggles to know the difference between you lying in bed awake and asleep lightly, and can struggle to determine exactly when you go through REM and deep sleep, but it does good enough a job that the results are informative. It also tracks breathing disturbances and snoring, which I find much more interesting.Sometimes the device gets thrown off and cuts the night short but it saves all the data and allows you to edit the night and backfill with data that is apparently missing. So, don't be fooled that it is accurate: it isn't. Do, however, use it as an informative guide.

Easy to use by just laying it down
The overall experience is truly remarkable, just as expected from Withings. It's convenient to use by just laying it down, and the accuracy is also quite good.

This is NOT the 'Sleep Analyzer' described on their website
I bought the product because the Withings web site says 'Sleep / Sleep Analyzer' (EU & ROW)' and the description indicates it can assess for sleep apnea. In fact the heading covers two completely different devices. The 'Sleep' device is the one sold here which indicates 'Sleep cycle analysis'. But only the 'Sleep Analyzer' device can assess for sleep apnea and that device is not sold in the US because the company licensed it as a a 'medical device' in EU and two years later still does not have approval at that level in US. I have returned the product unused and reported the misleading description to Amazon. If you want the 'Sleep Analyzer' device you can order it from Amazon.co.uk but the cost is about $170.

It works as advertised the information provided has limited usefulness for me
It seems to be very accurate. It tells me that I have frequent sleep interruptions, snore, and have sleep disruptions. That's pretty much it. I think I knew that. I think a wearable would have been a better choice for me since they include O2 readings that might give me more insights into what precedes these events.

Works well (when it works)
The media could not be loaded. Ive had the unit for a little over a week now and the unit did not track my sleep two of the seven nights.Appears to be a Bluetooth issue, although I did read somewhere that Bluetooth is only needed during initial setup?Setup directions are very confusing. The app should include q status bar indicating that the sleep pad is connected to WIfi and is in ready mode ready to track. All I get is a blinking violet light.SEE VIDEO.Not sure what that means.

Visualizing sleep is a very good thing
Due to work during my younger days, I am an extreme short sleeper. I usually sleep for only 3-4 hours at a time, and now that I am retired and have time, I take naps to make up for it. I am very satisfied with the data for my nighttime sleep, but because my sleep time is short, my sleep score is only 30-40%. The data for my nap time does not show up. Even if I try my best to stay in bed, if I am recognized as being awake, it will not be counted as sleep time. I may not get a good score, but the number of breaths during sleep and the depth of sleep (I don't even dream, so I thought it was deeper) are very helpful. I am trying various efforts to get a good sleep. The settings were easy even for an elderly person.

It doesn’t seem to work as advertised
I really wanted to like this product. I’ve used it for days. Although it scores me as having has a “restful” night’s sleep, that is not the case. The graph covering last night has me in “deep sleep” two hours after my alarm went off and I got up! Unless it improves in the next couple of days, I am definitely returning it. At this point, I cannot recommend it.

Inaccurate Sleep Cycle Detection
According to the device I had 55% deep sleep.Yeah, I don't think so.However, it was able to detect my sleep and wake times pretty accurately.Oh, BTW, the app is not too good.I had a really difficult time setting my birthday.Apparently, I cannot change the year, so I had to keep clicking to lower the date one month at a time.Seriously?Update:I bump up my rating by 1 star because the device is consistent in its measurement. Also, not having to wear something to sleep is a plus. So, considering that your expectation on consumer sleep tracker should be realistic, I would say that this sleep tracker is adequate.

Broke in a year and a half
It was very useful for detecting snoring and sleep time, and managing sleep status. However, after a year and a half, it stopped recording sleep and even after resetting, the LED did not light up. As others have written, there is no support for repair, so I gave up and bought a new one. It's a bit poor quality that it doesn't last for two years. It might be worth trying when it's cheap.

Good product, but the lifespan is about 1-2 years.
I used it for a long time. One day, it stopped working as if it had died. I contacted support but it was not resolved. It gives the impression that it is a product with a lifespan of 1-2 years. The product itself is quite good.

It automatically calibrates several times a day, but it's too noisy and annoying. It's not a problem if you have a separate bedroom. I didn't mind it when I was going to the office, but it's not suitable for teleworking alone. I'm satisfied with the functionality.

Interested in sleep metrics? This is a no brainer
I bought this because I wanted to figure out how I was sleeping to help provided some quantitative data to my doctor. I do not like wearing watches to bed, so this product was super intriguing. After setting it up (and carefully following the instructions) it worked flawlessly on the first night and every night since then. I sleep alone so I don't have other people to worry about. The best part about this mat is that you set it up and forget it. No charging, telling it to start, or having to put it on at night. You don't have to change any habits or routines in order to use this mat.Buying this may not be the best option if you wear a fitness tracker to bed, however, a youtube video from Quantified Scientist on this mat said it performed reasonably well for how unobtrusive it is. I recommend you check that video out for more results and test methodology.I have noticed it does not appear to track all of my quick awakenings (such as waking up to pull more blankets up, then quickly falling back asleep), but I am not trusting this to be 100% accurate. Whats more important to me is trends over time and a good estimate of how I sleep. The app works great. No issues on iPhone 13 iOS 15. It also syncs with Apple Health which I like, but this is optional. The app also suggests improvements to your sleep, and its called me out a few times for not doing a good job with my sleep. In sum, if you don't want to wear something to bed or tinker with a wearable, I highly recommend this to help you monitor and improve your sleep.

The Withings Sleep pad is a great set-it-and-forget-it sleep tracking/measurement tool that installs quickly and easily and does a great job of tracking individual sleep duration and patterns as well as heart rate, etc. (have not tested with multiple sleepers in the same bed; however, it does not appear to be impacted by pets). Measurements appear to be accurate and reliable and the device syncs seamlessly with a high quality app and integration with Apple's HealthKit (Health app).

I read some negative reviews about the noise and I heard it but it wasn’t enough to disturb my sleep. Overall i like it. Out of the way and quiet.

Good history of sleep health. Great device and pretty amazing!

So far, so good!!!
I have not had this product very long, but so far, it has worked as intended. The only thing is that it marks your start time from when you get into bed. I like to watch TV or read for a few hours before shutting down. The GOOD news is that it allows you to EDIT your sleep the next day which is much better than other products. Easy set up and it reads my sleep from under a very thick Serta mattress/memory foam. Keeping my fingers crossed that it does not stop working anytime soon.

Worked for 2 weeks
Tracks your sleep cycles well if you do not roll off the sensor. The device has stopped working as of 9/3/21, will not connect to WiFi or Bluetooth.

Broke after 9 months of use
Wow, this thing just broke after 9 months of use. It worked well before this but suddenly it won't connect after numerous attempts to reset the device.

Doesn't work after 5 months
Brought in Apr 2021, performance is quite nice. Most of the times, it accurately recorded my sleep and also my snoring time without weating a watch which make me uncomfortable in sleeping. Unfortunately, it doesn't work anymore after 5 months of use. Very disappointed.

I have the Withings Steel Sport hybrid and Withings Scanwatch. They both are absolutely delightful devices and work as described. The battery life is totally insane. The steps are accurate (I compared it with other pedometers) and sleep information is useful but at times, it gets spoofed and does not record sleep. Hence, I bought the Sleep to see if that would solve the issue. Absolutely fantastic! Stuck it under the mattress and it has not missed a single night and the recording are accurate. Have become an ardent fan of Withings.

Couldn't connect to app
I tried for a week, following all instructions and help, to get it connected to the app and nothing worked.
Without connectivity to the app the device is totally useless.

Sleep Tracking Made Easy
This is an excellent product for those seeking to track/trend sleep patterns and quantify the quality of sleep broken down to Light/REM/Deep sleep cycles. The Health Mate app is free unlike other companies like Whoop ($$$).

Looking at the numbers...
I realized that I wake up frequently because of shallow sleep. I woke up every 2 hours or so. There are various ways to improve such as exercise, medication, and diet, but now that I have a goal in mind, I have become more aware of my body. Well, in this era of remote work, there is still a long way to go for improvement.

Not recording sleep data even after being connected
I tried a lot to make it functional unfortunately it is not at all recording any sleep data
July 13, 2021 | anonymous
Poor accuracy (I think)
Attached are the records of the past few days. The gray bar indicates the time period when I was awake, the black part with nothing displayed indicates the time period when no measurement was taken. Other colors indicate the depth of sleep. Although there are times when the sleep time is extremely short or there is no record, and it seems that I am waking up many times, I am actually sleeping soundly. So, I think it is not measured correctly. Even if I unconsciously wake up, I don't know that it is not measured. This has been the case for about a week, so I restarted it once, but it was not improved. Is it because it is sandwiched between the mattress and the futon? At first, it seemed to be able to take data like that, so I think the possibility is low. In any case, it is better for those who purchased it to know the risk, as looking at unreliable records is meaningless.

Easy Setup - Simple Interface - Valuable Data
If you are looking for something that will give you some great insights into your sleep patterns - then this is it. Automatically (quite accurately) detects when you sleep and when you wake, and then gives you insight into the night. I feel as though it lines up well with how much I am awake or asleep. Heart rate detection is quite exceptionally close to my apple watch overnight even though it is measured through the mattress. I would recommend this highly.

Amazing for Tracking Sleep
This product is fantastic. I have a Purple mattress on top of a slatted IKEA bed frame and this provides accurate readings without any discomfort. Very easy to install and setup, and stays completely out of the way.
My husband snores and this also accurately detects periods of snoring for him. I highly recommend for anyone interested in understanding their sleep further.
Also integrates with Apple Health seamlessly.

Real, useful sleep data that you can act on
Tried wearables with limited success. Gave up on them and tried sub-mattress device. Great decision!
Once I properly placed and calibrated this pad, I began getting very useful sleep data that
1. Allowed me to develop a consistent understanding of trend and pattern data in my sleep cycles
2. Accurately tracked the number of times I woke up, length of time to fall back to sleep, if I got out of bed (always to use the bathroom in my case) to track how often I get up to pee, when I sleep deeply (slow wave) during my sleep cycles.
3. Understand which meds, products and sleep hygiene steps impact sleep positively, negatively or not at all.
I'm using the Withings pad to understand how melatonin affects my sleep based on amount and time of evening it's taken. Also examining other med impacts my that I'd prefer not to mention here.
This pad, at least in my case, provides just enough accurate and detailed information on my sleep cycles that I can test making adjustments in my life to determine if they're helping to improve my sleep. My hopes are high that this product will help me to identify lifestyle and supplement changes that result in better sleep and hopefully healthier wellness as a result.

Great way to track sleeping without wearing something
I purchased this because I didn't want to have to wear something to bed (or remember to put it on). I've had it for several months now. It seems to do a good job with detecting heartrate, snoring, sleep disturbances, sleep type. It has been reliable and nice to have a handle on how well I'm sleeping -- again, without having to wear something. You do lose out on things like blood oxygen levels, but I would suggest that if this item tells you that there a high number of 'sleep disturbances', you might want to purchase something that can measure pulse-ox. Or do a real sleep study, as there might be a real issue like sleep apnea that you don't want to ignore.

It's good, but...
Bought mine 7 months ago.
Installation was fast and easy,
it works only with a 2.4GHz WiFi connection and not 5GHz. They do say it on their site and on the package, but only in the small print, and not on the Amazon page.
This means 2 thing:
(1) You're sacrificing some internet speed in order for it to work,
(2) if you don't know how to change the router setting, it might be a challenge for you to install the product.
Now for the way it work... It's pretty good - the readings are pretty consistent with my Fitbit, which I guess means the measurements are working well. I get a lot out of the data and it really helped me improve my sleep hygiene. I also don't feel it at all under the mattress, which I guess is good.
A couple of issues still bug me:
(1) If you wake up and stay in bed, it usually reads it as you being in a light sleep stage. I feel like this issue can be solved because when I get into bed, it reads me as awake until I actually fall asleep.
(2) That (1) said, reading in bed before I go to sleep have a 50/50 chance to be read as sleeping/being awake.
(3) Day naps and other (hmhm) things you do in/on your bed and take more than 10 minutes kind of mess up the reading. It can save day naps, but for me it also messes with the following night sleep reading. Same for the other (hmhm) activities. You touch your bed between waking up and going to sleep at night, and the following night sleep will have weird readings.
(4) Waking up and actually getting out of bed for more than 5 minutes can also mess with the reading, as it sometimes reads it as I was done with sleep for the night even if I went back to bed soon after. This means that when I get back in bed, the new data doesn't register.
So in conclusion, a great product if you know how to use it.
(1) Using it will require some concession in your internet speed.
(2) Using it to its fullest will require you to adjust to its whims or lose some data

Very helpful, not perfect
UPDATE: it stopped working after the 6th day
Overall I’m glad I have it, but it’s still not perfect/the last sleep app/device you’ll need.
- no need to wear Apple Watch or the like to bed (with the screen randomly lighting up as you’re turning around)
- nothing to charge
- captures nap (some apps only track night sleep)
- app is easy to use, lovely user interface (much better than Apple Health), tracks other vitals imported from Apple Watch/Health
- love that I finally know whether I snore or not
- biggest annoyance: it consistently tracks less sleep than I actually sleep. I usually wake up around 6 to go to the bathroom and come back to bed right after. This should be tracked like any interruption (I often do this around 2 or 3 am too and Withings tracks that interruption correctly). Why it can’t do that at 6am is beyond me. Consequently it also always thinks I never stay in bed after waking up, which couldn’t be further from the truth
- no option to set a wake-up alarm based on my sleep cycle stage
- second largest annoyance: it declares that my fitness level is low based on a tracked walk I did with my friend’s dog. This is very frustrating since I actually do resistance training 4-5 days a week and I’m very active the rest of the week. I’m currently purposely not doing any intense cardio work for a month, so it doesn’t rly know my fitness level. I find this super frustrating and mildly insulting.

Purchased this to measure sleep. Fairly easy set up. Bluetooth worked out of the box. I intend to keep on using it. If sleep is an issue for you, this device will give you feedback on your efforts to improve your sleep.

Best Option for Most
Have used a lot of trackers, this is the best. Apps that use watch info are not good at figuring out the phases of sleep. Used an iOS one for years and then the highest rated android one. Do not believe their numbers at all. This thing I think gets it right. Maintenance is zero! Just go to sleep then open the app in the morning. Even the watch app solutions are more of a hassle than that!

Understanding things that you don't know while sleeping
I wanted to know my snoring and sleep apnea, so I purchased it. I am satisfied with that. Since I can also know my heart rate, I thought it would be nice if I could solve arrhythmia.

Simple to use, does what it promises ...
Setting up the monitor is extremely easy, takes about 10 minutes for it to calibrate. Once that's complete you basically forget about it and go to bed.
So far, it's been pretty accurate and has helped me confirm the poor sleep habits I already knew I had. One other benefit is that when I have a night where I feel like I didn't sleep well I can confirm what happened the next day. You know how you have one of those nights where you were in bed for the right amount of time but sleep just felt off - aware a lot, uncomfortable, etc.? The monitor can confirm that happened and prompt you to record whatever happened the night before or during the night so you can make changes for the future.
Having the monitor is certainly not going to make you get more or better sleep but if having an easy, unobtrusive way to track your sleep interests you this monitor must be one of the best. I also have the Withings scale so between the two I've got a lot of data to use if I want to improve my overall wellness.

Works great for us…
The product & app work perfectly for me; zero issues with set up or app functions (and I have a pretty thick mattress at 15”.) My daughter also has one that works just fine. The scores seem pretty accurate & have encouraged us go to bed earlier. I’m surprised others have had so many problems, this was not the case for us…apparently some bed/user/wifi configurations must work better than others.

Works well, easy setup, and there’s a homeassistant integration
I’ve used the beddit before this, and I have to say this is much better. The app is rich, and there’s even a homeassistant integration for the nerds out there!

My husband bought this and love it. He loves tracking his sleep. I personally could care less but he thinks it helps him bio hack his sleep.

This has been great for my son and has given us lots of info on our sons sleep (or lack thereof). But we’ve has this for two months and the plug has come apart and because of the way it’s made, I can’t just buy a new cord. I feel like as much as I paid for this, this shouldn’t be happening. I am trying to find a customer service number but haven’t been able to yet.

The first thing I do before purchasing a wifi/Bluetooth devise is to download and study the app, which is often the weakest link in the chain. The Withings Health Mate is a great app combining Sleep, BPM Connect (blood pressure monitor) and other devises. Withings Sleep is easy to set up and a no-brainer to use. After a month of use, I believe it's the best sleep tracker on the market. It seems to be more accurate than my Fitbit Charge 3, and syncing (which is a chronic problem with Fitbit) is seamless. After you leave your bed, Sleep automatically uploads your data to your network so you can check your sleep. I don't have to beg for my sleep data, as I often do for the Charge 3. One improvement I'd like to see is for Withings to use easily differentiable colors to represent REM and LIght Sleep. The colors used presently are difficult for me to tell apart, as I'm colorblind.

Not having to wear anything when sleeping is a great value
It's really nice to be able to track sleep without wearing anything! The downside is that there are few types of IFFFT triggers. It's a shame that you can't do things like setting a timer to go off when you have shallow sleep within a certain range of time in the morning, as you can with free smartphone apps.

I was skeptical, but it works quite well
I was a little skeptical how well this would be able to track my sleep from under the mattress (standard innerspring mattress), but it has worked very well. Its readings agree with my own empirical experience, and with measurements from other sleep tracking devices I've tried. Very pleased with the purchase for the price.

impressive metrics and design
Really pleased with the metrics and app which I was already using with a scale and BP monitor. Sleep works under our thick queen mattress which was my only concern initially. It knows when I lay down and watch tv vs actually falling asleep. It also senses disturbances, breathing issues and waking accurately. its so sensitive that it actually detects my two 35lb dogs who love to nap on our bed. I have to put a pillow over the area of the mat as a buffer. Oddly my dogs have a similar resting HR! Thankfully its easy to edit naps via the app.

Very easy to use and provides useful information
I'm really happy with this device. I set it up in a minute and it worked right away. I can tell that it is not 100% accurate, but it is accurate enough. I recommend it.

No need to disturb sleep.
I bought it to check my parents' sleep at home. I was surprised that it kept vibrating continuously when the buzzing vibration at the time of turning on the power did not sleep on the mat. I want it written in the manual.

Set up is ridiculous
I finally got this thing set up after a couple weeks of trying. It's just been unplugged and laying around because I hadn't gotten around to returning it yet. On a whim, I decided to try one more time and it synced up in seconds. The hell? Nothing has changed, same phone, same pad. Whatever.
I'll update this review later, see if it's worth the money. I do like sleep tracking and hate wearing watches, so the results should be positive. We'll see.
It's like every other review says, customer service is exactly as non-existent as they say.

If you would like to track your sleep metrics this works great!
If you want to know metics like sleep depth(light/deep/REM), heart rate, sleep duration, snoring and possible apnea Withings Sleep is a great product. The integration is not great, although it's consistent, sometimes you can't be sure whether the devices is connected or not. When you wake up, the data reaches your app within 10 minutes.
It's certainly better than spending 1 night at a hospital to see if you are sleeping well. I noticed that my sleep pattern changes a lot. (Yesterday, my sleep depth was bad for the first time) So continuous monitoring works much better.

Surprisingly accurate data and help
Have found information provided by this device surprisingly accurate and useful for both sleep apnea and snoring. I have had professional sleep studies done prior and this unit is helping augment good practices and continued monitoring.

Not working for me
With high expectations buying it but it seems, just not really accurate. Not sure it is due to using white noise (surely affect the function to detect snoring).
The cloud recording and Health App are good.
