Withings invented
the first hybrid smartwatch
Watch your health
Keep on top of your personal goals day and night with the hybrid smartwatch that delivers a detailed overview right to the companion app.
24/7 heart rate monitoring
With its 25 days of battery life, Steel HR takes readings around the clock to give a holistic view of your heart. Enjoy heart rate tracking day & night plus continuous tracking during workouts.
Daily activity tracking
Daily activity tracking
Steel HR automatically counts steps and recognizes walking, running, swimming or sleeping. Steel HR is water-resistant to 50m.
Automatic sleep monitoring
If you wear Steel HR to bed it will automatically track light and deep sleep cycles, duration, and sleep quality via the Sleep Score. Plus, the Smart Wake-up feature can get you out of bed at the best time according to your sleep cycle.
Why it matters
Sleep tracking helps you understand your night and make choices that can improve them. Studies have shown that better sleep helps people manage weight, reduce blood pressure, and even reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.
What’s behind the tech
The accelerometer, paired with heart rate, allows a comprehensive and detailed analysis of your night. Our proprietary AI has been calibrated with a sleep laboratory in Manheim, Germany and with Beclere Hospital in France, using polysomnography, considered to be the gold standard for sleep analysis.
Sleep score
Every day, find out how restorative the night was with a score based on duration, depth, regularity & interruptions.

Watch that lasted 8 years
Watch purchased in 2015 but recently broke after 8 years of daily use. I used it for tracking sports activities (swimming, cycling, running, fitness, tracking on Strava) and step counting. I appreciated the simplicity of the time and step display on the hands. I appreciated that Withings/Nokia updated the watch with new features without forcing us to buy the higher model (in 2015, my watch did not have message notification, but an update in the following years allowed it). The battery lasted a week or even a month in normal use, unlike current smartwatches that need to be charged every day. I bought the Withings scale as a complement because the application is very convenient. It was a sturdy watch that I really enjoyed.

The perfect balance of smart & traditional
I love my withings HR. I've been wearing one continuously for the past 6 years and love it. I get compliments on its appearance all the time, before people even realize it has smartwatch capabilities! I love that it has a traditional experience with lots of technology built in. I especially like the sleep tracker to monitor my sleep quality and help me make adjustments toward better sleep health.

How am I doing?
I have the scales as well as the watch. I never fully understood the bed mat, but I am sorry I got rid of it. I start the day with the scales to check my weight, the weather, and yesterday's activity. Then I check my sleep pattern and my heart rate during my morning power walk. I reach my goal of a two-mile walk every day. I'm 76 and want to do everything possible to preserve my health! Withings is a great help. I don't want a day without these devices and my workout with Miranda Esmonde White. I am looking forward to using more of what Withings offers.

The sport watch fits me well. I have been a Withings customer for 5 plus years and getting ready to order another similar watch. I am retired and workout regularly. Of course the style and look of this watch is gorgeous! Besides that I am able to access many things when my phone is not near me. I use it in conjunction with the Withings scale and blood pressure monitor. I have been using Withings watches for years and have continually upgraded to get more feat. Less money than the other brand and unique.

Great battery life
This watch has amazing battery life. It lasts for weeks without being charged. I love the look and feel of the watch and it's super easy to use. The only thing I would say is that it would be good if the hands were visible at night and it you could have the circular digital display showing your chosen mode continuously. Overall would recommend.

Mostly good. Super battery life
The first thing we bought was the watch, the sleep recording works wonderfully, the activities that are recorded are also recorded really well. What I don't like is that the WhatsApp messages are only transferred to the watch when you unlock the phone. Another criticism is the recording of steps. If I've been running around the house all day and doing all sorts of things, and in the evening I'm pretty tired lying on the sofa and it says I've only taken 3000 steps. Quite demotivating. That definitely needs to be improved. We also have the blood pressure monitor and a scale. The blood pressure monitor works excellently. With the scale, it's annoying that all weights always appear twice, I can't delete them by sliding but have to click on each entered weight to delete it.

I have moved on to Apple Watch
This is a very elegant watch, definitely something very low-key in terms of a smartwatch. I love the battery life. As for why I switched, I started noticing that I had to reset the hands of the watch; they were not accurately displaying the time. It got to the point where I was doing this very day. I got an Apple watch for Christmas, and I have been using it for yearn or so, and while it is a completely different product, I am enjoying it. I do hate that I have to charge it every day, but beyond that, it has a lot more functionality than the Withings Watch.

Stylish watch and also smart
The watch is comfortable to wear, reliably captures health data and can be easily viewed in the app. The smart display on top of the watch is a bit bright...it's difficult to see which mode you want to set, for example, during outdoor sports. I wear it every day and I'm very satisfied. The battery lasts forever. I would say almost 2 weeks... I would buy it again 👍

OK if you dont want to actually read the dial
I'll keep it short. The dial is dark, but the numbers are also dark, the hands are dark.. the red ends to the hands are not quite as dark.... nothing in luminous, there is no light.A nice looking watch though - battery life excellent, sleep and step tracking are OK.Better looking than my Fitbit, but otherwise its a little disappointing.

Not great as a fitness tracker, what arrived was clearly a previous return.
Firstly, what arrived was clearly an item that was previously returned for an unknown reason. The packaging was damaged on the inside, the cables had been unwrapped and any protective film was missing. I contacted Amazon and they agreed to refund around a third of the price which I was happy with as it would bring it inline with used ones on eBay.However, as a fitness tracker it's really not great. Heart rate tracking seems inconsistent and will drop out for no perceivable reason only to briefly pop back in again. Step tracking doesn't seem particularly accurate either even between otherwise identical devices. As a watch, it's rather nice. Much nicer than most other smart watches on the market. The dial is a little hard to read but if you're comfortable with analogue watches you'll have no problems interpreting it. I like the display, it's clear and readable and fairly intuitive. It's also fairly comfortable. One of the drawbacks however is that the vibration feature is rather lackluster and you'll likely miss alarms and timers if you're not paying full attention.Ultimately, it's pretty good for the price but you can't do better if what you want is an analogue smart watch.I'd be very happy with it if the smart

Great Watch, Charger broke within first 4 months
I really like this watch. The battery life is fantastic. I only need to charge it once a month, if that. Which is why it was so strange that the charger stopped working after only 4 months! I replaced it with a knock off brand that has been working great. But for a $200 watch I was a bit disappointed.

Super alternative to normal smartwatches
The perfect fusion of smartwatch and old-school wristwatch. The watch looks great, very elegant and still has modern additional features like sleep tracking, step counting, and heart rate monitoring. The range between the phone and the watch definitely still has room for improvement, and the accuracy of the step counter function is not perfect yet. But for those who appreciate long battery life, a classic watch look, excellent water resistance, a fair price, and notifications from the smartphone, this is the right watch.

I hated to return this but...
I really loved this watch. It was the right size, not too heavy, and looked awesome. However, it did not do the one thing that made me shop for a smartwatch in the first place; It did not wake me up as my old Fitbit did. If the vibrating alarms are not important to you and you want a real watch with a little smarts, I would not hesitate to recommend this to you.The good:* It was perfectly sized. Many smartwatches I have found look huge and ridiculous.* It was the right weight.About the same as a typical analog watch.* It was stylish.See the picture. It looks great on my wrist.* Great balance of functionality. It did everything a watch should do and just enough of what a mobile device can do (notifications, fitness tracking, sleep tracking).* Easy to set up.The app was great and walked me through the steps quickly.* Two-year warranty. If it did what I needed, then this would have given me peace of mind. The bad:* The vibrating alarm was almost imperceptible. When testing the alarm, I knew it was going off and thought 'I think I feel it'.More to the point, I needed something that could wake me up, and it failed miserably.I even set three alarms within 5 minutes of each other and didn't stir at all to any of them.* 3-alarm limit.I would think 10 alarms is a reasonable amount.* Impossible to see in the dark. They really needed to add luminous hands. That said; pressing the button does show the time on the tiny display, but I would have needed my glasses to read it.* Arrived with the battery at 0%.This might have been the way it was designed, but most battery-operated devices I have bought in recent years had SOME charge in them. This made me a little concerned about the health of the battery.* Silicone band. Now this is just a personal preference. If I kept the watch, I would have purchased a metal replacement watch band.

Improvement in lifespan
Very practical watch. The thickness of the dial is just right. The ability to change the straps quickly 👍 The two points to improve in my opinion: - The quality of the glass (it scratched quickly) - The Bluetooth connection is easily lost and does not reconnect automatically. Over time (4 years I think), it gets worse, I have to reset my watch regularly.

Adequate features, but many compliments on the watch's appearance/style over the years!
It's adequate but certainly not great for fitness monitoring. However, it's held up well over the years. Required a replacement due to cracked crystal incurred during some abusive project I was up to.There is no crystal replacement option in the U.S.Appearance-wise, it's very versatile and I've received more complements and inquiries as to the brand/model on this watch than any other I've had.

Subtle and efficient
It looks like a traditional watch, but tracks a lot of things I need. It has amazing battery life, around 4 weeks, still after a couple of years. I like that it doesn't have a full watchface screen, because I don't need another distraction. It sits on my wrists, and just works.

It’s a health watch
I thought I needed a fitness watch, which it can be, but what I got was a broader perspective about my health. It’s not invasive or obsessive but with my Withings integrated scales and blood pressure machines I can unobtrusively monitor primary health functions and submit basic data to a medical professional if required and it saves me a visit. Basically, the suite sit in the background and monitors primary health data while analysing and supporting fitness regimes when required.

Android? 🤔
I received the watch as a gift from my wife. I find the watch very beautiful and sporty. Only one drawback when connecting with my Android phone. The initial pairing with the phone went great, everything worked with receiving messages and calls, but after only a month or less, it only works halfway or not at all. That's the only thing I don't like so much. The rest is great, the app is very easy to use and understand.

Problem with the minute hand
I was attracted by the simple design and overwhelming battery life and purchased it. Bluetooth connection, app, and sensors work without any problems, but the minute hand frequently stops. Despite the fact that the hour hand and activity dial are working properly, the minute hand stops 2-3 times a day. Every time I calibrate it from the app, and sometimes it doesn't work, but if I leave it alone, it eventually starts moving again. I have been using it for 3 years as a body composition scale, which can be checked by pressing the crown button and confirming it on the LCD screen. I am satisfied with the functions other than the watch. However, as a watch, it is not worth 1,000 yen. I will switch to SUUNTO5, which can be purchased for 20,000 yen.

Fantastic combination of form and function
This Withings watch looks gerat - a high class watch that tells the time.Bit it is also a great health monitor - linking to an app on my phone to record sleep patterns, workouts and heart rate, but it also has the ability to take a Doctor-ready ECG and Blood Oxygen levels. But an important factor for me is that the battery life is measured in weeks not hours - I have had several smart watches in the past, but they all sit in the draw because I can't be bothered to charge them daily!

+ Design, + App control, + Reliability
The HR-Withings has an elegant design. It is easy to use with the app. Ideal app integration with scale, thermometer, blood pressure monitor. Notifications (phone calls, SMS, WhatsApp) work very well. I have been using Withings watches for over ten years now. The design is impressive, and the interchangeable straps are great. However, there are some drawbacks with the automatic activity detection, which works rather clumsily, and the transfer of data to the Health Mate app (both from the watch and the scale) can sometimes take a very long time or not work at all.

Super, but ....
The battery life is great. The operation is simple and the app is clear. Unfortunately, the watch cannot detect what activity I am doing. When pushing a stroller and mowing the lawn, it thinks I am riding a bike, but it doesn't show anything when I actually am. It also doesn't count all the steps. With the same distance and stride length, my husband's watch counts more ... One drawback is also the watch glass. Very sensitive to scratches, a protector only lasts for a short time.

Hybrid Smart-Watch
The (first Gen Withings) watch is great for basics, but doesn’t always show alerts. It now forgets what time it is occasionally (hands only) and the charge doesn’t last as long as it did. The newer generations have none of these issues

Great choice to enter smart watches world!
This watch is a perfect solution that looks for a classic design with smartwatch capabilities. I own Steel HR for almost 6 years and it never disappointed me. And after all these years, even though it has tears & wear, the battery works like a charm. It is complemented by a beautifully designed app, backed by a scientific approach to data and insights. I hope Withings will keep introducing new features and even better hardware in the future!

My best connected watch
This is my 4th connected watch and it's the best for me. First, I like the design, not too bulky for average/normal wrists like mine. It can also be worn in the city, which is not the case with other brands. Top sports use. You can easily choose according to the seasons and no longer confuse skiing and cycling :-). The sleep tracking suits me as well as the heart monitoring. I can go on like this but in a few words, I love the design and features. Top!

The watch, together with the scale and blood pressure monitor, is connected in the app, along with other apps for nutrition, exercise, etc., providing good control of health values.

Exactly the feature set I want
Have had a wear os watch a year ago, but found most of the features useless. The Steel HR is much simpler and has exactly the features I need: shows time, notifications and samples heartbeat. Only gave 4 stars because I had Bluetooth connectivity problems until my phone upgraded from Android 12 to 13. Dunno if that's a Health Mate app problem or Android problem, but I got no answers from withings on support questions on this issue.

A watch with long-lasting battery
Long battery life, compatible with scale, blood pressure monitor. Sleep monitoring, sports activities, display messages....
07/03/2023 | SM
Super, but ....
The battery life is great. The operation is simple and the app is clear. Unfortunately, the watch cannot recognize what activity I am doing. When pushing the stroller and mowing the lawn, it thinks I am cycling, but it doesn't show anything when I actually do. It also doesn't count all the steps. With the same distance and stride length, my husband's watch counts more ... One drawback is also the watch glass. Very sensitive to scratches, a protector only lasts for a short time.

My best connected watch
This is my 4th connected watch and it's the best for me. First, I like the design, not too bulky for average/normal wrists like mine. It can also be worn in the city, which is not the case with other brands. Great for sports use. You can easily choose according to the seasons and no longer confuse skiing and cycling :-). The sleep tracking suits me as well as the heart monitoring. I could go on like this but in a few words, I love the design and features. Top!

Battery life is superb.App (Healthmate) is easy to set up and use.I agree that the black hands on black face make it very hard to see, but the LED screen gives you all the info you need.

Watch that I have been using since 2018 and I am absolutely delighted with it. The daily tracking (steps, sleep, activity level) and sports activities are really great. Pretty, but could be better
Aesthetically it’s a very pleasing watch. Love that I can sync it with my withings scale and that the battery lasts for weeks. That being said, the sleep tracker leaves much to be desired…it doesn’t track naps or mistakes reading in bed for sleep. A lot of in app editing by the wearer needs to take place to get a clearer sleep history. Also notifications on the watch are hit or miss. Sometimes I get every text and call and sometimes it doesn’t tell me anything for hours or days.

Best of the hybrids
I have an affinity for mid-century-mid 80’s manual watches, particularly Bulovas and Elgins. I really wanted a watch that could track my steps and heart rate, but I am not a fan of the look of modern smart watches. As I started researching, I came across the Withings hybrids and I was intrigued. Most of the other hybrids I researched were as big as a mantle clock on a band. No thanks on that. The Withings are normal sized watches that, at a glance, look like a traditional wristwatch, which is exactly what I was looking for. I took an old Speidel band off one of my Elgins and it fit perfectly. I initially planned to rotate my new Withings in with my other watches, but two months in my Withings has been my every day watch and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

Perfect if the needle glows in the dark
I tried about 15 inexpensive smartwatches, but this smartwatch is the best. It's simple and multifunctional, with only the functions I want. Even in the dark, I can check the time by pressing a button. The battery life is good, and I think it will last longer if I don't press the button. I press the button about 5-10 times a day, and it lasts for about two weeks. If the needle glows in the dark, I will buy all the models.

Amazing battery life, compact design
I was using the Huawei Watch GT2, but it was too heavy and uncomfortable to wear while sleeping. So, I switched to this one. It's very lightweight and slightly smaller, which is good for my thin wrists. The digital display is small, but I can still see it even though I have presbyopia. The battery life is amazing. After a full charge, it sometimes shows 100% even after three days. I think it's because the digital screen is small, but I'm happy about it. The workout feature is great because it automatically detects running, walking, and cycling and records them. I wish I could use it with Suica, but I still like it.

I knew the product. I'm on my second watch.
I like this electronic coach for its design, because it looks more like a beautiful classic watch rather than a bulky electronic coach. Moreover, the charging is done monthly and not every two or three days.

I had to send back, as I found the black on black screen unreadable
I'd been researching hybrid smart watches for a while, as I want to track steps, heart rate through the day, and also exercise routines, and all the review pointed me in the direction of the Withing Steel HR.As normal, the package arrived very quickly, in great condition, and set up was very quick with the app.It connected perfectly and fitted my wrist well, although to get a heart rate I had to wear it a lot higher up the arm than I'm used to.I found the app very clear and easy to use, I just with it had rowing machine (my daily exercise) as a routine, which is a big miss for me.But the big problem for me is that black hands on a black background made it really hard to read the time, which is my primary use for a hybrid watch, so unfortunately it had to go back, and I'll consider the white in future if the price drops. Also worth noting, in normal use it only tracks heart rate sporadically (I think every 30 mins), but when you shift to workout mode it constantly tracks.

CUSTOMER SERVICE - CUSTOMER SERVICE 11/10 WITHOUT HESITATION
I bought this watch in August 2022 and at the beginning of January, the screen of my watch broke. I contacted the manufacturer and they simply offered me a free replacement. Special thanks to Alda, Customer Service | Withings for her valuable follow-up!

It's nice
This is my review after two monthsI would give 5 stars but for the one really bad point (see below)Good points:Setup was so quick and easy (compared to two failed Skagen watches). The watch is very light and small (my preference).Bluetooth connection seems stable, with instant notifications.Vibration is gentle and therefore silent (when wearing). The button press is very responsive but not too light, and display is easy to read. There are many customisable views on the display, though it's frankly not so convenient to use as a stopwatch and timer - easier to use your phone. The battery lasts about 3 weeks as the maker claims.Bad Points:The number one BAD point: The 1-minute/5-minute markings on the face are almost IMPOSSIBLE to see, unless you tilt the watch to the exact precise angle to catch the light just right, meaning it's hard to get the precise time. When that is necessary (like rushing for a train), you need to push the button to see the digital time display instead. The silver hands are a bit difficult to see unless light is just right - you have to move your wrist to see the time, but it's not too bad.The strap looks very cheap - I ordered a metal one, which greatly improved the look of the watch.

Attractive, but limited functionality
I love the way this watch looks, and if you’re interested in a nice looking watch that tracks your steps and sleep, this will do the trick. However, for actual workouts and/or running it was unsatisfactory because you need to carry your cell phone in order for the watch to be fully functional, and the screen is very limited in the data that it shows - which is why it’s more visually attractive because the watch face is less cluttered. So it’s a trade off. Mine sits in my jewelry box now, while I wear my more functional, but slightly less nice looking Garmin.

Looks very expressive
Took me a while to set up, instructions aren't very good. Need to do it online. Once set up, easy to use. Easy to check BPM, and generally your exercise levels. Doesn't have too many different sports on it, but that's how I wanted it. A good looking watch that's easy to use

Charge lasts 16-22 days
Sharp watch and i really glad i bought it (white face).I have had it for 4 months and wanted to comment how long the battery lasts per charge. I don't use it for an activity tracker (but it does its own kind of). Get a fair number of notifications and use all three alarms (why only 3 allowed?). So far it has varied from 16-22 days.Usually closer to the 16 days per charge.Great watch just wanted you all to have a realistic expectation.

Simple and functional
Stylish and attractive. Lots of activities and the free 'heart mate' APP is a great/ must have addition for health andsleep tracking. However, this hybrid watch would not satisfy the needs for marathon, or triathlon athletesor downhill racers. You certainly do get your money's worth and compliments with this watch.

I like it.

There are quite a few people who think this is a better option than buying a cycle computer.
I think everyone who rides a bicycle as a hobby, including myself, considers buying a cycle computer. However, a cycle computer is highly functional but can only be used when riding a bicycle. If you want to aim for good results in a race or train your body hard, a cycle computer is good. On the other hand, if you are like me and aim to promote health easily while cycling, it may be better to have something that can measure heart rate and activity not only when riding a bicycle but also in daily life. Furthermore, it is better to have a design that fits not only casual scenes but also formal scenes. I think this product matches such people very well.
27/12/2022 | anonymous
To me this seems better than having a smart watch. I do not use it to get phone notifications.
I like the sleep tracking, I can tell the nights I get real good sleep and the nights I don't. I like to go back to see the results and compare them day to day

Sophisticated, elegant smartwatch.
I love this watch. I'd wanted something less obtrusive than my fitbit for ages. The Steel HR feels incredibly well-built, the battery really lasts a whole month, it feels great on, and I love its look. I prefer small watches, and I was concerned it would seem huge on my wrist, but I got used to it right away because it looks and feels sleek. I mostly use it for step and sleep tracking. I really like the Health Mate app, too.
17/12/2022 | anonymous
Overall, satisfied
Wrist band broke after 9 months of daily wear that I needed to replace. But overall satisfied with the watch. Pulse readings are accurate and phone notifications on my wrist are very convenient and customisable. Battery life has declined a bit since purchasing but still only requires charging once approximately every 3.5 weeks.

I really don't want something that looks like a computer, on my wrist. This watch is incredible. With a silicon band and 2 months of rechargeable battery, I can shower, sleep, swim, run, travel for months, etc wearing this watch, ,without taking it off or worry that the battery will die...it just goes and goes and goes...it has a quality glass crystal face, which I have scratched on the floor of swimming pools -it takes a beating... and yet, it still looks unmarked. It's like brand new.It has a small OLED display that is great for showing the time / date, in the middle of the night, when you can't see the analogue time.Doubles as a faint night light for navigating a dark hall.Note: Do not compromise on the cheaper version of Withings (Active / Motion), which doesn't have a rechargeable battery, and has a plastic glass face which scratches easily. The app software experience is hit/miss.For iPhone - Notifications work 50/50 & GPS mode needs to be turned on once a week, if you want to track hiking or running trails.Sleep tracking quality is accurate enough, to get the point across ( drinking coffee before bed, is going to screw up your sleep cycle, etc).It helps establish a baseline and figure out good habits from bad.The ease of turning all this movement into a log of charts and graphs for sleep, steps, heart-rate, hiking trails, running, swimming, gym, tennis, etc are a great record of activity. Also, it's easy to find cheap alternative wrist bands on Amazon.

Individual differences
There are many reviews saying that it broke easily, but it has been 2 years since I purchased it and the main body has never malfunctioned. Sometimes notifications do not come after updating the app, but there is no problem because they respond immediately if you inquire about the app. Is it because it is made overseas or because of individual differences due to storage conditions...?

Cool
It has the necessary minimum functions, but it's much better than other companies' products (Garmin) that have many functions and break easily.

Excellent pseudo-smartwatch with minimal fuss, long battery life
This watch is a perfect fit for me. I like the convenience of a smartwatch that tracks steps and shows me notifications, but I really don't need all the fuss of a full smartwatch. For years, I had a Fitbit (Charge 3 / 4) that did this for me. However, I hated that the screen wasn't all that bright in the daylight, making it difficult to read the one thing a watch should be foolproof at: the time.I love that this watch has analog hands and an analog step counter. A quick glance at the watch face tells me the time and my steps, without the need for a screen to come on and show a poor approximation.I have also been pleasantly surprised by the notifications feature. I thought that, without a large screen, I would only get the sender name and no additional details. However, the notification scrolls across the screen, giving me more text than even my old Fitbit did. All this with a battery life easily double or triple that of my old Fitbit. My only real gripe is that the heartrate monitor is a bit lackluster, since it only checks every few minutes. This can be fixed by going into workout mode, but that really begins to drain the battery. This is a small sacrifice for the extended battery life, though, and one that I'm more than willing to make.If you like the look of an old classic analog watch but want something a bit smarter, this could be perfect for you.

Dead pixels in the display.
Loved the watch until the pixels died in the display. Now it's just a watch.

Everything I expected
It took me a long time to buy a smart watch. I wanted something with a classic look, but with health tracking. I researched tons of watches before I settled on this bad boy. Love it! I went ahead and got another model in a different colour for myself as well. Watch lovers stare at my wrist all the time trying to figure out what it is. Perfect blend of style and functionality.

Good for HR and Activity tracking
Amazing good looking watch, I went for the white version since several reviews talked about how hard was to read time with the black one.Since I workout about 5 times per week (3x tennis, 2x gym) the battery life lasts about 20 days, a bit less than the stated 25 days, also I keep the notifications off for email and messages. The watch does a great job for activity tracking, HR monitoring, however it is horrible for sleep tracking unfortunately. If that is your purpose, look for another watch. I also didnt like the silicone band, so I replaced with a leather band, which made the watch look even more slick. I would rate it a 4 star overall.

Buyer beware -- no standalone gps
The GPS only works in conjunction with phone. Do not buy for the gps feature, like I did. Battery life and mobile app are very clean though.

Pretty watch unfortunately it does not count steps well
Bought due to looks and the belief that it would do what it stated. The battery life is good and so is the app.Unfortunately it did not count steps well, I thought that it must be a faulty unit and organised a replacement. The replacement was the same. The return process is very slow. The return is accepted, but I've still not got my money back over a month later.

Simple is best!
I purchased this because I don't like watches with black screens. It's enough to manage only time, smartphone notifications, activity, and sleep quality. I've been using it for 2 years and the battery lasts for 1 month.

Discreet and Functional
I've always worn watches and wanted something that struck a balance between functionality and discreetness. In the past I've used both Fitbit and Samsung Smartwatches. While those had fantastic features, the relatively short battery life and form factor / flashiness were a drawback for me. The Withings Steel HR delivers, being both functional enough as a smartwatch, yet discreet as to be mistaken as a normal wristwatch. It also has a fantastic battery life, which means that I can treat it like any other watch and forget about it at the end of the day.Physically, the watch feels very solid- I have the 36mm version. The face is clean, and easy to read. The silicone strap the watch comes with has held up well to everyday use, and is comfortable enough. The watch strap has a spring loaded pin which allows for it to be easily taken off and replaced. The watch 'dial' has a nice actuation click when pressed, and is simple enough to navigate with. The heart rate readings and sleep tracking seem to be quite accurate, and have not noticed any issues with it yet.The charging puck is quite large, and connects via a standard USB-A plug. The watch attaches via pogo-pins, and can unfortunately only be placed one way, indicated by an indentation. While a minor limitation, this may limit which side you may decide to lay the wire on. That being said, the long battery life means that charging won't be something done very often. The Health Mate App is a nicely done app. It is easy to navigate, and allows you to set-up, manage your device, along with viewing the fitness data that the watch tracks. In terms of functionality, the watch is quite limited. Beyond fitness tracking, the app allows for wake-up alarms, and notifications. Essentially all apps that send notifications are able to be added to the notification forwarding list. However, I've noticed that sometimes the watch will show the notification icon, but provide no further details. The addition of some sort of play / pause music control would also be quite nice.tl;dr: If you're looking for a watch that is discreet yet function, the Withings Steel HR is certainly a good option to consider.

Best smart Watch for the price
Does 95% of all the functions offered by other smartwatches at a third of the cost and offers at least 25 days of charging time compared to all others. Also charges far quicker than Apple, Fitbit or Samsung. Easy to read and very well manufactured.

Design
At first, I was confused about how to use it, but I managed to figure it out! I really like the design and how lightweight it is!!

No discomfort even in business
I liked the design, it doesn't look like a smartwatch. I don't feel stressed about the long battery life. The most used function is the alarm. Even if I don't notice it on my smartphone before a meeting, the vibration alert on the watch is good.

Numbers on face of watch are unreadable. Even in daylight it’s very difficult. I returned my watch.

Good Fitness Tracker
I got this because it is compatable with the app my trainer uses. It looks great, very stylish and functions well. However it seems to miss some sleep at night if I have to get up. It doesn't log further sleep when I go back to bed.It doesn't allow me to adjust for my stride length in the app, so my step count is way off. However over all I'm pretty happy with it.

Great battery life
Battery management is easy, lasts for more than 25 days. It's easy for lazy me. The dial is stylish, but hard to see at night. If you press the crown, the time is displayed digitally, but the font size is a minus point for me with presbyopia. I like the simple design.

5 star watch
I have had a variety of fitness watches and was leery of a hybrid but this is a great watch. Can’t beat the quality. I wanted a watch that would last and with stainless steel construction I think this will be around awhile. I am amazed at the battery life. I fully charged it 18 days ago and have 16% charge left. Gets a 5 star review.

Classic watch first, smart watch second
I've been an activite pop owner for 5+ years and it finally broken and I decided to upgrade.I wish I upgraded sooner. This is a sleek analog watch first and fitness, sleep and steps counter second. Was looking at the scan watch but the reviews weren't good and I wouldn't need an ECG. Plus it didn't have the table stakes features that other $300 watches had. What I use it for: tracking runs with heartrate, outdoor cycling, tracking sleep and keeping track of time. Publishing activates to strava. What it's great for: tracking runs (you can quickly click through heartrate, distance and elapsed time with precise gps turned on) without checking your phone. Quickly activate your run or ride by pressing a button twice on the watch! no fumbling around on your phone or anything. Easy. Also, it's a watch. It's not another screen that you have to wake up or get distracted. Don't like apple watches for this reason. The good: battery life is incredible, charging is easy via USB. Regular use is like 3-8% of battery life everyday. LCD display is easy to read and one button interface is very intuitive. Includes regular stopwatch, timer and alarm functions as well! Phone sync is very fast (< 10 seconds) which you can do once a week to sync up data with the app. Or more frequently for sleep. Publishing run/ride data to strava is easy and includes all the data (strava premium account). Strap is soft and stretchy, lots of adjustability. Text messages that are links, photos or other are just displayed as a text message icon, kind of nice. The bad: grey dials and black watch face is difficult to read in low light (button does activates date and time but still). Calendar, text and phone notifications (apple IOS) doesn't work 100%. Some days it's working, other's it's not. I think it's a phone thing. Text messages are limited to 50? characters on the watch. Would be nice if text scrolling speed could be faster or adjustable. The ugly: No continues heart rate streaming to 3rd party apps, ie it's not ANT+ compatible so you'll need a heart rate strap or similar if you are riding a peloton or have a garmin or wahoo. Contactless payments would have been nice but not a deal breaker. Siri/assistant voice would have been nice but not a deal breaker.Overall, love it. Happy to find a rechargeable smart watch with long battery life and fitness features. Would recommend.

I like it
I got this about a half year ago, and mainly use for sleep tracking. I have worn this as my 24/7 watch and it’s been great! Glass hasn’t scratched despite me never taking off to do anything (I don’t shower with it but you could).I would strongly recommend getting a nylon or canvas watch strap because silicon is absolutely not doable if you want to wear this for a large portion of the day.

Looks like a watch and provides health tracking.
These watches look great and meet all the functional requirements. The app for this watch is pretty solid and seems to only get better. This is the 4th watch of this design I've purchased for family members.

time
I don't recommend this watch as it doesn't keep time.I do use this watch for knowing the accurate time.I've had to reset it 3-4 times since owning it for a month or so.I would think it would remain synced with the phone and I would expect a watch to keep accurate time.I would return if I could; however, it appears my return time has expired. Not satisfied.

Good value and great looks
I like the notifications for texts and phone calls. You can't answer calls via the watch but you can see who's calling and grab your phone to answer. You can see you have an email but you can only read the sender and maybe the first line of the email it scrolls about 2-3 times if the set it up the vibrations. That's find with me since I usually just need to know it I got a text or email and whose it from anyway. I can't see a way to see how many texts or emails and once it scrolls the notifications there's no way to retrieve it without going to my phone, which is not a deal breaker for me as I don't like being a slave to my devices. The variety of apps you can setup for notifications is hefty and the battery life seems very good. Once fully charged the display stays at 100% for nearly 3-4 days then it begins a slow decline to 0% over the next couple weeks. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase because the watch is doing just about all the things I need it for. The Sleep Tracker gives me a score percentage which I trying to see if I like it or not but so far good watch.

Excellent buy
Whiting Steel HR SportSo far this watch has been the best fitness watch that I have ever owned. It's stylish and doesn’t look like the average fitness watch. It does everything that I need it to do and more.It keeps track of my heart rate, steps, calories and miles. The battery stays charge during regular use for about 30 days before the battery goes down to zero.Once the battery reaches zero, the watch enter into power reserve mode.In power reserve mode all functions are disabled except for the analog watch, which continues to function for an unknown duration of time.I highly recommend this watch to anyone desiring to have a stylish fitness (workout) watch that gets the job done and doesn’t need to be charged every 24 to 72 hours.

Healthy
The media could not be loaded. It does what I want it for and so much more. I have all of my health data on the app right where I need it. The unit is comfortable on my wrist. It has a classic watch design and it was affordable. The sleep tracker keeps track of the phases of your sleep and the heart monitor tracks your pulse so you can cross-check the numbers to see where problems might be.The battery life is quite long a few weeks usually.I am very pleased with this purchase.

I loved this watch I only wish it could do blood pressure also

Great first impression
I almost purchased the newer Scan watch because it has a flat sapphire face but I am not a fan of larger watches and have no need for the extra features so decided to give the 36mm a try. On first impression it is a great looking watch although I immediately replaced the band. navigating the app and setting up notifications was easy. Will update my review later if I have any change of opinion.HR seems to show about the same as my old fitbit. Like my old fitbit it has trouble keeping up over 120 but I am also using a non adjustable metal band. It also doesnt kick out of workout mode for notifications which is a big plus for me

Looks great, but hasn't been accurate
I owned this smartwatch for a week.It looked great, and I really liked it.However, it was not at all accurate for step counting.I could walk around my house for minutes and have not a single step counted.I returned it, reluctantly because I like the look of it and the overall idea... but what's the value of an inaccurate step counter?

Expensive disposable watch
I loved this watch so much that when my first one broke after 2 years I immediately purchased another. That second purchase was in 2020 and this spring when the clocks were set forward the digital time corrected but the hands did not. They will not fix the watch because it is out of warranty so here is a second watch dead in 2 years, actually less than 2 years. The app has also done crazy things and often shows me dashboards from previous watches that have long been deleted from 2015. When it works the watch is super cool especially for tracking sleep and keeping you informed throughout the day. However the app is wonky and the watch will only last you 2 years pretty expensive for $175 watch. Unfortunately my advice is not to buy.

Charging
As mentioned in the comments, it takes quite a while to charge. However, it lasts surprisingly long when fully charged. The design is simple yet versatile and goes well with any style. I purchased a leather band and replaced it right away.

It's the third one already
I really like this series because① the battery lasts: it's enough to charge it every 3 weeks ② it has all the necessary health data ③ it's quite stylish ④ the price is reasonable. This is already the third one. I hope it becomes available in Japan soon, as it seems that it can also measure blood pressure overseas.

Looks great, works great. Not sure how accurate it is for my runs as there is a significant discrepancy between it and my running app. But great value since I don't use it to track runs anyway.

With a little ingenuity and a belt change, it feels usable. It will help you understand the quality of your sleep.
It's a bit big and thick, and when you wear it with a dress shirt, the cuff buttons don't stay closed, which is a bit annoying. If you attach it to the top of your wrist (which is called the styloid process), you can close the button and the watch won't be visible... it's something to think about. But since it's going to be summer soon, I don't think I have to worry about it. For formal occasions, I wear it on my right hand and a regular watch on my left hand. It's very accurate in counting steps and monitoring sleep quality, so it's helpful in improving sleep quality, as it gives me a glimpse of my sleep state, not just my own sense. I'm happy when the quality improves and the score goes up a bit. The problem was that the buckle of the belt didn't fit my skin and it became red and blistered, but when I changed the belt to one with good ventilation and without a buckle, I was able to use it comfortably. That separate buckle is dangerous. Smartwatches are better, aren't they?

Oil inside the glass? Rainbow visible
Although the battery life is good, there seems to be oil or something inside the glass, causing cloudiness and a visible rainbow.

doesn't count my steps accurately
first, it's a lovely watch & I do like the idea of a hybrid smart watch; however, it does NOT accurately count my steps. google fit is much more accurate for this. I also love that it holds a charge for weeks. I'm keeping it because it's a cool watch & I am hopeful that they can/will fix the step counting bug. I had full spinal reconstruction about 1.5 years ago & so am able to walk & walk & walk; it's a big deal for me to know how many I take in my average day, so I carry my phone whenever I can to get the google fit count.

Great watch
I've had the watch for about 1 week.I'm admittedly a luddite when it comes to smart devices, but I needed a step tracker as my new phone didn't have one.Purely as a step tracker, this watch performs exactly as desired. The mobile app is useful, it syncs with Virgin Pulse seamlessly (better than my Samsung Health ever did), the watch interface is simple to use.The watch design is what I really like. Some people complain about the dark dial being hard to read - this is fair but I don't find that bad. It is similar to other dark dial watches I have owned.I also like that it is a reasonable size - I don't like the current design trend of oversized dials.I've never worn watches at night, so I was skeptical of the sleep tracking. The sleek design means it doesn't bother me at night.

Missing a notification is the end
I bought it because I didn't want to miss notifications from LINE or SMS. It vibrates when a notification comes in. It's good if you notice it, but in reality, I often don't... I wish there was a system that would let me know if there are any unchecked notifications. Once you miss a notification, it's over (TT). The design and battery life are great, but that's my only complaint. I switched to another company's product that shows you when there are unchecked notifications on the screen. PS: There's a rating element that says it helps you sleep, but I don't think it has a function to help you sleep, it just monitors your sleep state.

Battery lasts long.
I purchased it about 4 months ago. The battery life is very good. It lasted almost a month for me. It may vary depending on the settings, but it lasts long enough. I am satisfied with the size and color. The functions are also sufficient, and I often check the sleep record data, steps, and calories. I think it is functional enough for daily health check. I also purchased a protective film and put it on, so I can use it without any noticeable scratches.

Love this fitness watch
I like this brand because the app is very friendly to my other fitness apps so they can all share data. Other brands I’ve returned for lack of sharing.

Simple, pretty
I love that this is light, pretty, and overall simple. The battery life is awesome. I don't even charge it once a month. I feel like steps are pretty low compared to what my other devices show, but maybe those are more sensitive? The HR monitor seems good. I have not used message notifications at all. It has been nice not being tethered to my phone. lol

Second Withings Steel Ive owned
A very sporty-looking watch. The band is super-comfortable and a big improvement over previous ones: no sweaty wrists. The app works great with Apple Health (and also connects with my Withings scale.)My only beef Is that the digital display is hard to read without my glasses and/or in the dark.

Amazing!!! Will not regret!!!
Honestly, I wasn’t a watch person until I got this. It’s quite amazing, and does everything you need it too accurately. I’d even go as far as to say I that I prefer it over my Apple Watch. Can’t imagine switching back. Good for the gym, and just taking care of your health. Beautifully designed and made. Tough too. I’ve banged it up quite a bit with my job and not one scratch or break. Water proof as promised too, which is amazing. You really won’t regret the purchase. Worth every penny. Batter is amazing, and it looks classy.

Easy to use even for the first time
I bought a smartwatch for the first time. It arrived yesterday and this is my review after using it for a day. Hardware: It was more compact and cute than I imagined! That was my first impression. It is about 14-5cm around the wrist, and you can wrap it with a little looseness and leave 2 holes. I was worried that the size and thickness of the dial might be too big, but it doesn't seem to be much different from a normal analog watch. The appearance that you don't notice at first glance that it is a smartwatch is very good. I want a leather band... Software: First, I charged it and then set it up from the app, but the UI was easy to understand and I was able to set it up smoothly. It's cute that there are some strange Japanese places sometimes (laughs), and the functions are simple and good. It is convenient to be able to customize the display screen. The app can be used for free. I fully charged it yesterday, and the battery level is still 100 percent after using it all day today. (I think I used it a little more times and operations because it was the first day.) I'm still not used to wearing a watch when I go to bed, but I was happy that it counted even when I went back to sleep twice. I'm going to end up buying a compatible weight scale... I used it for mountain climbing, so I'll add it. I used it for about 4 hours of low mountain climbing. I used the watch in hiking mode and launched the smartphone app to synchronize it. I think it consumed about 30% of the battery. You can get data like the image. In the mountain app YAMAP, you can see the route, the total distance of the mountain trip, and the approximate calorie consumption, but you can't take detailed pace or heart rate, so it was more interesting to use it in combination. I also use it for walking around my house, and it's fun to record the same route and pace (you need to carry your smartphone). Since I can follow the history even when exploring a road that I have never passed, I can try this road next time or try to increase the pace, and I can think of various possibilities and enjoy it more.

Notifications functionality does not work well with iPhone IOS
The watch firmware does not appear to refresh its connection with my iPhone 12 when I am not in motion. Therefore, I am not notified on my Steel HR when I receive an email, text, etc. while I am sitting at my desk working unless I regularly access the Health Mate app and search for the device. I have contacted Withings on numerous occasions and they do not seem to have a solution.Other than the above, the watch is attractive, has great battery life and seems to be a very accurate activity and HR tracker. So if you do not care about receiving notification alerts it is a good product for the money.

Step counts may not be as accurate as some!
I bought this for my husband, who had another Withings Smartwatch that died after 2 years and a few battery replacements and this one replaced it. I use my iphone to count steps and his previous Withings watch gave very similar counts to my phone. This model, however, the step count is lower. We did a test and determined that my phone is more accurate. It's still a great watch and looks much more stylish than most, which is why he chose it.I took one star off for the less accurate steps and potentially shorter lifespan compared to some other watches.

This watch meets my choosy expectations
This model is more my style and choosy Nokia acquired them. It's fast and easy to set-up, lightweight, elegant and the app does it all. The steps calculator is off by a lot but that's not my focus now.

Nokia quality. Crazy long battery life. Nice hybrid analog and smart.
This isn't the watch for you if you want all the bells and whistles. But if you want analog, lots of battery life, beautiful design, and quality materials, this is the watch for you. Just enough tech to be useful for fitness tracking, not enough tech to be a hastle or distraction

Do not buy.
The charging of the device is faulty. The dial is very difficult to see during the day and at night. Quite upset.

Get a strap. I still love the watch.
I wanted a hybrid watch that emphasized analog style but with an elegant integration of smart features. This watch delivers that perfectly. The watch component is solidly built, thin for a hybrid watch, and comfortable. The strap is ok. I recommend investing a little more in a watch strap that will turn this watch into the perfect watch for you. Perhaps it’s reasonable to expect it to come that way out of the box. I’m still giving this five stars because with minimal modification it’s the perfect watch for me.

Good Looking Smart Sport Tracking Watch
Easy to set up and add to Withings App - (we already have the scales and the blood pressure monitor). Battery life is excellent. Mainly used the walking step tracking with GPS Assist and all good so far.

Super watch with a classic look
I love this watch with a more classic look. I didn't want a sports watch (sometimes too bulky). The app is really well made, in French, with lots of interesting tips and compatible with other well-known apps. The battery lasts about a month, that's a big plus!

A smartwatch that's a watch first, and a pretty solid fitness tracker
I've been wearing mine for the last several days, and while I like it in general, there are a few things I wish Withings had done differently. It's a nice, compact watch compared to a lot of chunky trackers and smartwatches, though I find that the actual stick hands are hard to read at a glance, especially in low light (you can always push the crown to display the date and time on the screen). The white face version is much better in terms of readability as a wristwatch, but I found the 12-o'clock screen too ugly (if they inverted the display that'd look better, but the battery life would be terrible). So I went with the black version. Even a small amount of lume on the hands or face would have helped with reading it, and I can't see it would interfere much with the screen. I also have mixed feelings about the band, it's a very soft stretchy rubber (silicone?) to improve the heart rate monitoring I suspect, but it's also kind of a pain to get on and off, I may try a band with a better clasp (and see if heart rate monitoring suffers any). For the fitness tracking, it works fine for the activities I have tried (though in some cases, like indoor rowing, it works better to not explicitly say I'm working out, and revise its guess about the activity later). Cycling and walking the GPS info for route and elevation are presented nicely in the app, though it does seem to chew through battery quite a bit, so I am not sure I'd always bother kicking off a workout unless I really wanted to log everything perfectly. So overall I am pretty happy with it, the app and the watch itself both have small issues, but it's probably the nicest tracker/smartwatch I have had in terms of aesthetics and wear-ability.

Very stylish
The watch is comfortable and stylish. The only issue I have with accuracy is on the step count. If I'm carrying anything in my hand on the same arm as my watch, the steps are not all registered. I've had this same issue with other products as well.

Good night visibility. However
Although I was concerned about my heart rate, I prioritized checking the time at night and bought various devices. I started with Epson, but the leather pulse sensor was too strong and left bruises on both sides, so I gave up. After that, I tried Fitbit, Garmin, Huawei, and others, but they were unreliable or made me anxious about privacy, except for displaying the time in conjunction with a smartphone. In the end, I rejected them because the night-time display screen was not good enough. Then, I impulsively bought this product for about 10,000 yen when it was on sale. However, when I looked closely, there was no second hand or night-time illumination. But I had a trick up my sleeve. For example, if I start the sports mode at exactly midnight, the time will be displayed with high brightness, including the seconds, although it is in small letters. Even if it is not exactly midnight, it is okay to start it at 2 or 3 o'clock, and if I start it exactly, the minutes and seconds will be displayed accurately. Even if it is a few minutes or seconds late, it can still be used. This made it the best one so far. However, if I use the sports mode for about 5 hours at night, the battery will only last for 3 days, which is disappointing. The sleep mode also has some doubts, such as when I get into bed and I am not sleeping, it says I am sleeping, or when I hang my legs and jump up, it says I was not sleeping before. Also, the heart rate seems to be too high or too low, which is very suspicious. Well, I'm satisfied with the night visibility of the second hand display.

Brilliant.
Looks good. Does all it is supposed to do. Easy to set up and the battery life is amazing l.

Pluses and minuses
The app knocked out the GPS tracking records on my android phone. The bezel around the sensor is proud and very uncomfortable. So it has been returned.I liked the hybrid look and it was straightforward to pair via Bluetooth.

Great alternative smart watch
The problem I have with all the other smart watches on the market these days is that they are too bulky and / or their battery only lasts a few days max. Also because they are bulky they do not look great. They look like small bricks on your hand. This watch is great – very thin profile, great looking and battery does indeed last as long as they claim. Not sure I’ve gone 30 days without charging but I’ve def gone 20.Besides the looks it’s a pretty powerful machine for the price. It’s got the usual heart beat / sleep etc tracking which is useful to get motivated to work out more. The companion app is good too.Be aware that most smart watches won’t get BPM or sleep exactly right.Besides that it’s pretty rugged. It’s definitely water proof. I’ve had this for a year now and I’ve taken it in the shower many times and also in the sea: surfing and swimming. Haven’t had a problem with it.I’ve also banged it against various surfaces a few times. No scratches. Watch kept working. All that + being a good looking watch, I feel like this is a great choice for those of us that want a smartwatch but don’t care much about all the niche features like texting from or taking a call on your watch. This watch is a great pretty simple companion for your activities. I recommend it!

A truly wearable assistant.
This is a very well thought out device. It's a comfortable, wearable and an easy to forget you even have it on watch, tracker. Battery life is terrific. It is supported by an app with a smooth, professional, intuitive interface. Bands are quick change bands and replacements are easily obtainable. The design of the watch is a classy, essentialist, ' everything you need at a glance, nothing you don't' approach to watch faces. It will be at home in almost any environment, at almost anyevent. The watch is light in weight but large enough to easily read. This is a really nice device.

Just buy one already!
If you don't want or need all the functions of a smart watch, then buy this one! The battery life is incredible. It's has all the capabilities of the best fitness trackers out there, and it looks stylish and minimal. I mean, it looks like a regular watch! I go the beach, play volleyball, swim, and run with it and it holds up well.

Replaced my iwatch with this. Love it.
Replaced an old iwatch with this. It’s nice to get the basic features without having to charge it every other day. Battery lasts for a month easily.

Man this thing is pretty, especially compared to the rubber and plastic smart watches
This version only does heart, sleep, and activity, which is all I want.I have compared it to my old Garmin (other), and the sleep tracking and heart monitoring are very similar, yet are calculated differently. When I told this watch to count heartbeats, it and the other synced within one or 2 beats within 15 seconds or so.By default, the Withings only counts heartbeats every 10 minutes, unless you are working out and tell it to count constantly.I think the 3 week battery life verses the other's one week, is because of the 10 minute, instead of continuous monitoring. The step counting was off by 2 steps from the other after 300 counted steps by me - one more and one less than what I counted. My watch does not count the half steps like the other does - like when you take a half step, and pause to open a door.Knowing that, my step goal is no smaller than it was with the other, but I know ALL of the steps are full steps.Did I mention that it looks SO much nicer than a modern smartwatch? In the pic, I have a glass shield on it and an after market band. The stock Withings band is silicon, but close to twice as thick as the competition, with a better closure.

Comfortable Easy to Read Fitness Watch
Good looking everyday watch bought silver band to jazz it up as well. Not sure how accurate fsteps and sleeping are. Overall easy to use mobile app, you can add your own additional info when exercising.

Scratches easily
Great looking watch, and love the woven band. I regularly get compliments on this watch. However the glass is extremely disappointing. I’ve had this watch for less than a year and it looks rough! In addition to the dome with making it difficult to read in many lighting situations, this also means the glass sticks out and is easy to scratch. I have owned this for less than a year.

Pedometer not accurate
Overall, the look and feel of this watch is nice (light on the wrist and elegant looking), and the battery life is impressive (It's my 2nd week of use and it's still at 90%).However, I'm very disappointed in the pedometer tool; it's not accurate at all.I tested its accuracy by walking 20 steps inside my house and the step count didn't change.I'm undecided whether I will return the product or not, since I love the look and feel.

Forget Heart Monitoring
This is a lovely watch. Looks like one rather than a tablet on a wrist band. Functions well, lightweight and with a comfy strap. Given it 3 Stars because it fails to monitor heart rate which is what I wanted it for. If you plan to use it as a main heart rate monitor forget it, it doesn't work and never has. Judging by other comments this seems to be an issue with no solution. Otherwise a great gift at a good price.

Looks great and does everything it claims.
Love the look.Love the durability.Love the versatility, as this watch goes with everything.More importantly, feels great on my hand.As an example, just purchased Galaxy Classic 4, and two days later went back to Withings Steel HR.

Good-looking Fitness Tracker
This watch looks really good. It is stylish and looks like a proper watch on your wrist. The strap is soft and comfortable and has a quality feel. This is what I was looking for in replacing my, now defunct, Garmin. So, if like me, you are more into classical analog looks, this is a good choice.Setting the watch up was really easy, which was a pleasant change from experiences of trying to set up my wife’s new band. The phone app is also easy to use and provides all the information I am looking for. I particularly like the way it gives you a sleep score. You can look at the sleep pattern data if you want, but the score is easier and more impactful. Also preferable to my old Garmin, is that I can get all the information I need displayed on the phone with a push of one button - I had to go to the phone app for that information on my Garmin. Battery life, although still early days, looks really good. It is showing 99% charge after over a week, whereas my wife has to charge her band every two to three days. The watch vibrates and displays texts as a kind of ticker tape on the small screen, which I have used on a couple of occasions. It’s not what I bought the watch for, so the limitations of that don’t bother me. However, if you are looking for a smart watch which can do much of the stuff your smartphone can do, this is probably not the one for you. If, like me, you want to track your fitness activities in an easy to use way and don’t want too many other distractions or complications, then this is definitely one to consider.

Simple to use
Sports strap very flexible. Figure on face a little small. App very good. Simple to use for basic fitness. Excellent battery life. Difficult to read the small LCD screen. Looks like a standard watch - probably not suitable for fitness addict -(Fitbit Charge 5 better for those)

Good design.
The battery lasts a long time without charging even after 3 weeks, although it may not be used much with the app.

This is a very nice watch and meets or exceeds my expectations
So far everything is perfect battery life has been a week already and has 30 percent left. This is using all features for a week. Exercise tracking, sleep tracking, step tracking and notifications on all the time using the Bluetooth.

Battery life is great

Good value.
Good value entry level smart watch.Does a good job, battery life is a little bit shorter than anticipated but it had some stick so not complaining.

Broken
The battery lasts about a month. I also like the design. However, the analog clock hands stopped matching after about three years.

Did not track my heart rate or sleep accurately.
It may have been too big for my wrist. The pics show it was in the proper position, but the strap stuck out and maybe moved too much around my wrist. The indentation on my wrist the morning after made me think that it was in proper place, but some nights it would record only half the night. On a treadmill or stationary bike it wouldn’t consistently record my heart rate, even if I stopped moving completely.Really too bad as I have not found any tracker to be consistent on my wrist. Returned it. Will probably bite the bullet and order the Oura ring.

Always updating?
I have purchased a pink gold watch before, but at that time, I returned it because the vibration for notifications was weak and hard to notice. Also, there were only a few types of notifications, but I was satisfied with other functions. This time, I bought it because the connection of my Chinese-made smartwatch with GPS was frequently disconnected and malfunctioning. It has evolved since then. The vibration has become stronger than before. Also, I felt that the types of notifications have increased. Now, I can understand notifications from almost all apps as a matter of course. As before, it is not too big, has a chic appearance, and has detailed running mode, including distance and GPS logs, as well as sleep, heart rate, and step counting. I am glad that I repurchased it ❗ I wear it all the time except when taking a bath.

Not connecting!
I bought a simple watch for a high price. It doesn't connect. Even if I operate it on the phone and it connects for a moment, it immediately disconnects, so it's useless. I liked it as a watch because it's simple, but... I can't return it... What a shame.

Pretty smart watch that looks like a regular watch.
This watch seems to do pretty much everything I was expecting and needed in a watch. I bought a brown leather band and really like the looks. It is not too big for my wrist like most other all smart watches. I would pay a little extra if the crown was flat mineral crystal and the watch itself just a little thinner. The app tells what I want to know. Overall very satisfied.
04/10/2021 | anonymous
Would not buy again
Live the smaller 36mm size. But not accurate compared to iphone. Only tracks based on arm movement.
28/09/2021 | anonymous
A good looking watch with moderate reliable sleep and step tracking
I found that sleep tracking and step counting vary a lot if compared to other devices. For example the step count is less then have of that of my phone

It didn’t arrive, the package was empty but Amazon was very quick to refund my money.
I will reorder another withings watchMy friend has one and absolutely loves it.It looks great to wear to work but still acts as a fitness tracker. I can’t believe other companies haven’t figured this out too. I do t like wearing a big black box on my arm. Can’t wait to get my new one.

It has become easier to walk. It may have been the best purchase of the year.
(Concerns: The needle is thin, so it is difficult to see in dark places) I have been using it for 9 months, but I have not found any other negative points. Personally, I like this slim needle, so I hope the design will not be changed lol. Charging once every three days is enough. When I take a shower and come out, it is already fully charged. My weight has decreased by 2-3 kg in 9 months, but my body fat has decreased by 5-7% (BMI 19 → 18). It is linked with the Health Mate app and Withings weight scale. Sleep time, weight, and number of steps are automatically recorded, so I look forward to checking them. I decided to stop using the escalator and climb the stairs to the station platform. I feel itchy on my arm if I sweat a lot while jogging because I am prone to rashes. I use a film called Air Wall, which is attached to the back of the watch. It can also be charged as it is (personal experience). If I get sweaty, I replace the film, but if not, it can last for a week without tearing. *There was a comment that the surface is easily scratched, so I put a protective film on it (I don't know if it's NG if I don't put the film on because the film is not scratched either).

Long battery use, adequate sleep insight
I like the sleep tracking , gives me i sight in my sleep routine. I feel motivated to walk more as I get feedback on my qctivity
23/09/2021 | anonymous
Design and usability are also pleasing!
As a point of concern, as mentioned in other reviews, the silicone strap occasionally becomes itchy, but there are no issues with compatibility with smartphones or apps. I really like the cool design.

Felt a bit deceived when I received a Nokia-made product instead of the expected Withings-made one
I wish they had clearly indicated that it was a Nokia product from the beginning.

Great looking and just techy enough!
I wanted a nice looking watch that does some fitness and notifications.I didn't want an obvious looking smart watch and this is perfect! The battery is amazing and the health mate app gives great information!Withings is great! 👍

Text jumping seems to be due to initial defects and excessive cache
After opening and completing the setup with the smartphone, the text suddenly jumped ... I searched the internet for various reasons, and found out that it was due to excessive cache (even though it was supposed to be new). It seems that this happens when the cache accumulates. The text jumping symptom improved by long pressing the Erase Flash-cache screen (short press of the button on the Factory Reset screen) after the Factory Reset. Although text jumping occurs again when the cache accumulates, cache deletion does not require resetting the step count or adjusting the needle, unlike resetting to the shipping state.

Great design, lightweight, and cost-effective.
I liked the design so much that I have been replacing my devices with Withings. I chose this model because it can be charged and lasts for about 30 days, which is convenient. It's so light that I don't even notice it when I wear it all the time. I wear it even when I sleep to manage my sleep. Health management starts with sleep management.

Going on two flawless years.
After two years of ownership, the watch is still going strong. It only comes off my wrist when it's time to recharge. Battery life is still plenty long; at least 4 weeks. Charge time is quick too. Did break the band that came with it a year later so replaced it with another silicone one. Only gripe is the app. In the beginning it was great but it seems like after an update, it became very sluggish to sync. It also didn't require me to open the app in the beginning to download data but now I have to open it at least once every few days to collect the watch data. Not a deal breaker but wish it still worked like it did in the beginning. The new app format is a little annoying too. Old one was a timeline format when you opened it. The timeline is still there but you have to navigate to it. Again, not a deal breaker but just didn't seem like a necessary improvement. I did damage the crystal. Doesn't handle welding spatter very well lol. Not a problem, figure it's cheap but from what I understand it is replaceable. It does pick up automatically when I mountain bike but it'll also say I'm bicycling when I'm riding my motorcycle. You can delete the inaccurate activity but it'll still keep your step count. So if you're serious about steps or want to cheat to get steps, there's this? Lol. Overall, love it.

Great disappointment
The watch is beautiful, but the training features are so disappointing. This product doesn't come close to Fitbit and its app.
03/09/2021 | anonymous
More of a watch, not a smart watch
This is the perfect watch if you are looking for a watch with the capability of counting your steps etc, but is definitely not a smart watch. It does not give you prompts if you have not moved for a long time etc.Comparing this to say a Fitbit the steps are off, and it only counts the true steps you take, not when you are just working/moving. Also if you are holding something while walking, it will not track steps accordingly. The glass and casing is VERY delicate, invest in the screen protector! The strap is not great. It is like a rubber material that catches lint and skin particles. It washes nicely. Had the watch not been so expensive (and needing a screen protector) I would probably invest in something nicer.Overall it looks great and has the watch look and feel that I was missing with other brands. The battery is long lasting. I would recommend unless you are ultra into fitness and want it to track all your stuff, although it does track a lot.Syncing to my phone through the app cuts in and out. I am not sure how to leave the app open, and if it is closed the notifications do not come through.

Good battery life; build quality so-so
I like this smartwatch a lot. It looks like a perfectly normal watch, and the battery lasts longer than advertised.I like the way it gently shakes your wrist in the event of a message or alarm. The only thing that's too bad is, as one of the earlier reviewers pointed out, the build quality is so-so: the dial is 1 or 2 degrees CCW of correctly aligned. The 12:00 hashmark should line up exactly with the red arrow on the bezel, but it doesn't quite. One minor thing: the stock band is not terribly attractive.I ordered a Withings plain black silicone band to swap in.It was not at all difficult, but a bit on the expensive side.Looks way better.

I am in love with this smart watch
I have had various devices in the past and none of them held my attention for very long. The form factor is wonderful. It looksprofessional and can be dressed up or roughed up.I purchased a few different bands (discovered a real dislike for silicone bands- sweaty).I watch my sleep like a hawk, use the alarm along with another alarm to get me up in the morning. It is so easy to look down to see how close I am to my step goal(I am going to reset it to 10k so that it will show an easy percentage- even if I am trying for higher or lower). The battery life is amazing. The workout tracking is easy to use.Notifications are subtle. Not that I've been in crowded theatres in the last 18 months, but the one line alert for notifications is demure. The 36mm size is perfect for my smaller stature.
29/08/2021 | anonymous
Good usability
The appearance is simple, and the functions such as notifications, alarms, and heart rate sensors are working minimally, leaving a reasonably good impression. The usability is good. There is no sound, and the screen image does not change every time like other digital watch screens, so there is no discomfort even if it is in sight. I think it's good that it doesn't get in the way of work. Also, the battery life is really good! I leave it alone with the feeling that it is no different from a normal watch, but so far, it has never stopped working due to battery exhaustion! It's very helpful. It's not bad to use it as a normal watch plus alpha. However, there may be compatibility or environmental issues with smartphones, and even if you set it up for reconnection once, you may not be able to connect to your smartphone... I couldn't connect for a few days, but I was able to reconnect by restarting my smartphone and trying various things, but it would be troublesome if it happened again. Since the main unit is simple, the settings are also based on the app.... Also, if you continue to use the included silicone band, your skin will become very itchy, and it will smell of sweat at this time of year (laughs). Since it is silicone, you can wipe it off, but people with sensitive skin may need to consider purchasing a separate band. However, if you think about something other than silicone, it's expensive... I think it would be nice if there were more affordable options or compatibility with generic products.

Good watch but it broke
I couldn't charge it after about 3 months of purchase. I am currently inquiring and discharging. The watch itself notifies me of necessary notifications and has a good battery life, so I really liked it. In the future, if I still can't charge it after discharging, I'm thinking of buying a new cable.

All the basics GREAT battwry
I had an original Garmin VivoMove without HR. It kept track of steps and sleep. After 5 years something in the case cracked and the watch still worked but couldn’t track any fitness.I tried to replace it but the modern rechargeable Garmin VivoMoves either need to be charged every 24 hours or every 2-4 days. No good.So this watch is a little quirkier with data transfer but keeps track of the basics and the battery life is phenomenal. I’ve worn it for 4 days and the battery still says 100% on the first charge—which was fast.Totally worth it unless you’re a power user. But for the regular person it’s great and stylish. Doesn’t scream “fitness”.My dentist was working on my teeth and complimented it too lol.

Great watch
Love this watch, looks great and fits comfortably. Haven't tried all the features yet but the one's I have are great.

Multifunctional Watch
It has a sleek appearance and looks natural even when worn during work. The battery life lasts for about three weeks and it also has fast charging, so there is no hassle. It measures daily heart rate, running/swimming speed and distance, sleep quality and length with a certain degree of accuracy. For me, it is at an acceptable level, but the measurement data of my fitness tracker was slightly more detailed. It may be recommended for those who want to check their daily activity while using it like a normal watch.

Inaccurate step counter
I bought this watch because I needed to be able to track steps (as part of a foot injury rehab program) , and I don’t like the look of regular step counters. I wanted one that looked like a normal watch. The Steel HR seemed perfect. But it wasn’t. After wearing it for a couple of days, I had a suspension that the step count was not correct. I borrowed a Fitbit from a friend and wore them both at the same time. The Steel HR showed a much lower step count than the Fitbit (see photos). The Steel HR just didn’t recognize when I was walking much of the time. I think you have to really swing your arm, otherwise it doesn’t understand that your walking.I gave it two stars because aesthetically it’s a beautiful watch. But I returned it and got a Fitbit.

I like it.
Had to figure out how to setup in the beginning. The instructions are not very clear. But everything is good, I like it very much. It has all the functions I need.

Great fitness watch.
Great fitness watch, had to change the band, don't know why, but my skin had a reaction to what ever the band was made out of. After changing band everything is great.....love the watch. I would have rated this 5 stars, but because I had to change the band and spend more money I gave it 4 stars.

Easy to use and looks good.
A very easy to use watch with great looks - looks a lot sleeker than most smart watches and even though the LCD screen is a lot smaller than the usual smart watch/fitness tracker it is very clear and easy to read. Battery life is amazing.

Exceptional battery life and sleek watch
I love this watch. Does everything I need it to. The app is pretty good, but if you want it's compatible with other apps. One year in and battery life is still exceptional, over a week per charge easy

Gorgeous design, unbelievable battery, minimalist and classy hybrid smartwatch
A preamble that I do not refute the credibility of the critical comments here as they are very personal experiences that almost made me dismiss this watch but thankfully, decided to use Amazon's excellent return policy & try the Withings Steel HR Sport. Glad I did. After disappointing trials with two other expensive smartwatches (running Tizen & Wear OS) - esp. the terrible Wear OS battery lasting only half a day, decided one last try. Those smartwatches attempt too many functions and hence, burn battery too fast. Returned the beautifully designed Carlyle. Back to Withings. Wow! My personal experience has been simply fantastic! Forgive me for being so effusive. The hybrid concept is amazing & unbelievably practical. Battery lasts for 3 weeks - & yes, I don't have to scale down the features. As someone else here commented, I don't need a mini-computer to do voice calls, SMS, social networking, watch movies or view images or play games. That's why I have a folding smartphone (Motorola RAZR Flip 5G running Android 10). What a minimalist design! Lovely colour (white dial) & the cute black interactive window balanced with beautiful & accurate step counter - I compared with actual pedometers, smartphones, & other devices for accuracy. Quick highlight of incoming messages, call display, step counter, calories, distance, time, date/day, & heart BPM (as accurate as it can be for a wrist watch - compared to Omron wrist monitor). To achieve this: Disable battery optimization, turn Location on all the time (yes, privacy costs), allow access to Bluetooth, Withings Health Mate & while not necessary but helpful Google Health - ALL the time (yes, I know, another intrusive app.) but if you get online in any form or on any device, you are already tagged even with restricted Location and firewalls due to inherent GPS on phones (as an academic technology researcher, I write academic stuff on privacy). Once you activate ALL these (as in any smartwatch), the Withings just flies! I still can't get over the design, unbelievable battery life, and the subdued practical operation. The Health Mate app. is really good and has interactive Help. 100% satisfied! Features needing improvement: Extremely weak vibration almost useless. Withings label on dial at 3 PM position conflicts with the click hands. Just try if it works for you. Bought the lovely but expensive brown Withings leather strap too. 5 stars for the watch & app. Kudos to Withings.

Love this thing
Long battery life between charges means more accurate sleep tracking. The app let's me specify different types of exercise so tracking is more accurate, too.

Will buy again. But the pedometer is not accurate.
Used for half a year. The design is easy to match with clothes and is really useful. I thought the band was not good because it was not leather, but it matches any outfit surprisingly. There is also a separate belt for sale if you prefer leather. The function automatically records sleep and the alarm wakes you up with vibration, which is great. The only drawback is that the pedometer is not accurate. It hardly counts when walking around inside a house or building, maybe because it is linked to location information. When I wore a Casio watch, I walked 10,000 steps a day, but with this watch, it's only half. I thought maybe the Casio was too lenient or maybe it counted movements of just my arm. Yesterday, I walked around so much that I got muscle soreness, and the pedometer on my smartphone, which I had left in my bag, measured 10,000 steps, but the watch only measured about 5,000 steps, which is almost the same as usual. I bought it for the pedometer, so I'm very disappointed about this. However, this design is small in size compared to other smartwatches, and it is the only choice and I am satisfied enough with the analog and hybrid features. It is not suitable to wear an Apple Watch in my workplace, but there is no problem with this one. It can be worn casually or with a suit. I will buy it again if it breaks.

Activity tracking is really good. Watch is comfortable to wear.
Let me say first - it is a really nice watch.Pros.Comfortable to wear.Looks great.Tracks activities really well.Long battery life.Notifications from my Android phone.Connects to phone's GPS and give really accurate map of the last run/hike.Cons.Sleep tracking is not very accurate, sometimes it misses interruptions and vice versus.Health Mate app doesn't read steps correctly sometimes. In general, Bluetooth connection could be a bit better.Overall I'm really happy with this purchase. Recommended.

Withings Steel HR Sport
Nice, practical and lightweight but needs a larger display.

Connection is not maintained
I have used the same steelHR before and had no problems. I wanted pink gold, so I bought it and set it up without any problems, but the connection is not maintained, so I cannot receive LINE or phone notifications. When I launch the app and tap, it is in a state where it is connected and synchronization starts. When I looked it up, it seems that a similar phenomenon is occurring. When I inquired, they said that there is a possibility of improvement if I discharge and then recharge, so I am currently discharging. If this does not improve, I am thinking of returning it.

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. The second day wearing it the watch band broke while he was playing soccer.

Fantastic HYBRID Smartwatch
I bought the Withings Steel HR Sport since I did not need all the extra features that I never used with my Fenix and Apple Watch. In theory integrating a bunch of smart features with a cumbersome menu navigation in traditional smartwatch's seems like a good idea. However, I rarely used any of those features with my Fenix and Apple Watch. The Withings Steel HR is easy to use and track my activities with their Health App. Also integrates into Samsung Health, Google Fit, Strava, My Fitness Pal and run keeper. So far all the metrics are consistent and have been cross correlated with third party applications that had less than 1% deviation. If you are looking for a simple Hybrid smartwatch that can keep track of your workouts and heart rate this watch is for you. If you are looking to launch the nextspace X exploration while texting, taking phone calls and computating stock market trends this is not the watch for you.

Minimalistic great watch
Great hybrid watch with the best battery life! The only thing is that it's missing gadgets. It's nice and slick. If you don't mind minimal design it will be great watch for you. For men I will go 40mm in size. 36mm was a bit too small. Otherwise it is a great watch with stylish minimalism!

Difficult to view watch hands
The watch hands are only slightly different in color than the watch face.Additionally the curved watch glass creates substantial reflections. These two facts result in the watch hands being difficult to view except in limited environments. The red tips on the watch hands help a little to viewing the time but were too little to significantly help in viewing the time.

Good watch just a couple of issues.
I bought the black faced watch, and the reviews are right. The face is very dark and difficult to see the numbers. However, the notifications are bright enough to get the time and date. There is intermittent connectivity with the app in terms of notifications, but all the others were well.

Durable and Works Perfectly after 6th Months of Daily Use
I've been using this watch daily for 6 months now and have no complaints. It's held up to running, working out, salt water fishing, and some wood working. A screen protector has kept the face scratch free. Time keeping is accurate, and the step-counter dial is very convenient. I don't personally use the watch for phone notifications, but when I did my only complaint was that there was no way to turn off the watch notifications just for when you were sleeping, you had to disable them and hen re-enable in the morning. The vibrating alarm would work well for a light sleeper but I typically sleep through it. I'm using the rubber band that came with it and it fits tightly for accurate heart rate readings during exercise, but is also very comfortable. The watch itself looks nice enough to wear to work, especially if you were to dress it up with one of the other bands that Withings sells. The bands have the quick remove lever to easily change them out. The band did get a bit dull in color pretty quickly, I think some outer layer wore off, but it still looks good. Battery life is incredibly long even when using it regularly in activity tracking mode, and it charges up very quickly and easily. The app is very user friendly and links to many other common health apps. The built in running and cycling trackers use phone GPS very accurately and the app makes it very easy to track and view your runs. There's no built in way to track your water intake or calories/macros, but it can link to apps that do track those things. Overall an excellent purchase well worth the money as a watch that can be worn in any setting.

Good looking discreet hybrid smart watch
A nice discreet watch with smart functions. Bought this for my wife and she is very happy with it. Simple to use and a good app to go along with it. The white face watch is very easy to read and displays everything you reall need.

Beautifully simple approach to track key activities
I highly recommend this watch. Sold my Android Wear watch in favor of the Withings Steel HR watch and couldn't be happier. Have had the watch for about a year, battery life is still great. I get 2-3 weeks per charge, while using notifications (vibrating alerts) and tracking multiple runs, workouts and bike rides each week. It's so great having a watch that tracks sleep and steps effortless and stays charged for weeks. Never have to bring a charging cord when traveling and never worry about draining the battery for an activity. The text and call notifications are simple but effective as they scroll across the screen - quick glance and I can assess if quick response is necessary. The sleep tracking is great too. Tracks automatically, and is accurate. Was funny to see my sleep pattern changes when we had our 2 kid - funny to see just how bad your sleep is for first few weeks with a newborn!Overall - highly recommend, will be gifting this watch to others and upgrading when mine inevitably gives out in couple years.

Nice watch but lack of contrast with the black dial and very reflective glass make it hard to use.
Pros:Nice looking watch.ComfortableAwesome battery life compared to other brands. The Android app works well. The watch synced to the phone quickly.Cons:I'm 53 and I use readers for up close stuff these days but I can (usually) see the time on my watch. I found the black dial of the HR sport combined with the reflective glass make it difficult to see the time at a glance. There really is very little contrast between the hands and the dial. I've ordered the version with the white dial and I imagine that will solve the problem. I'll be returning the version with the black dial.

It is a great watch. Perfect fitness tracker. Tracks sleep well and comfortable to wear.

Great battery life, good app integration, nice looking
I had 5 criteria for a smartwatch: battery life, heart rate tracking, sleep tracking, integration with Google Fit, and aesthetics. This watch does well on each of those.I'm 9 days in and the battery is at 60%.The HealthMate app works pretty well, and syncs easily with the watch, and offers configurable integration with Google Fit.Sleep tracking seems pretty accurate. Heart rate tracking is accurate but only sample's intermittently AFAICT.Finally, it looks and acts like a normal watch, and I like that.As noted by others, there is no backlight on the watch face, so you can't see the hands in the dark. And you will want the white watch face to be able to read it easily in the light.Update 10/2021 4 months in and I am still very happy with this watch. I've charged it 5 times, so battery life is staying consistent. The HealthMate app is pretty good. The watch reliably syncs with the app. Definitely the best smartwatch that I've tried.

Great design. Battery life is amazing
I've been using it for about six months since I bought it. For the first month or two, I wore it even when I slept to measure the quality of my sleep, but after that, I felt it was a bit of a hassle and, perhaps due to my body type, the area where I wore it started to get a little rough, so I decided to wear it only when I go out. As mentioned in other reviews, if you wear it for even a few hours, a circular mark will appear where you wore it, which is a slight drawback. Also, if you wear it a little too tight, the area where the mark is will become painful. Other than that, there was nothing particularly concerning. When exercising, you can measure your heart rate, and if you carry your smartphone with you, the dedicated app will record your route, which is very convenient. As for the battery life, it lasted for about 20 days even when I wore it every day. Now that I only wear it when I go out, I don't have to charge it for about a month. I think the battery life is amazing. Also, unlike other smartwatches, the dial is physical, so the design is also very good. I think it's a great buy.

The non tech look of tech
I've had one of these watches (black dial) for several problem free years and decided that I wanted one with a white face. For me the white faced watches hour and minute hands are easier to quickly read while not in bright sunlight. My oldest grandson is enjoying my 'old' Withings smart watch very much. He constantly reminds me that he walks a lot more than me! I think I've created a monster. These wonderful instruments have huge battery performance (both are 40mm versions) and tell me what I want to know. These watches were not intended by Nokia/Withings to be medical grade instruments but they are a long way from being inexpensive wrist toys that we've all looked at on the internet.Long story short is that if you're in the market for a 24 hour activity tracker with heart rate readout these watches are hard to beat. An added bonus is that they're also very attractive. Bottom line? These watches are easy to recommend.

Classic Looking Fitness Watch.
This thing can last 3 weeks with a full charge and everyday workout logging. I love this watch and how clean it looks. I do wish they added some type of glow in the dark paint on the clock arms for night time. I love how it doesn't count fake steps like my Fitbit either, bit does suck when you are pushing a stroller or shopping cart and can't swing your arms.

Undercounts Steps
I love the look of this watch. I bought it to track my swimming laps along with other physical activity for work fitness contests. However, I found that this watch undercounted my steps by 30-50%, and I'm way too competitive with my coworkers to allow that! I contacted Withings but was dissatisfied with their response. So I had to return it.

Great product, extra long battery life.
Works exactly as I would want it to. Only needed to charge about once a month.

Do not buy it thinking it's a smartwatch
As the title suggests, you will regret buying it thinking it's a smartwatch. This is the third generation of smartwatches, after Mi band3 and fitbit Versa2. It has been replaced with a gray aftermarket band. ▲Disappointing points ・Weak vibration (not that the cycle of vibration like Garmin is too fast to notice, but simply weak) ・The display is one line, so even if you notice the notification, it takes about 5 seconds to scroll to the beginning of the text (the app icon (→ title or talk room name) → notification text scrolls) ・The accuracy of the pedometer is poor, only about 3/4 of other devices ・The charger is a type that is placed (not wireless with contacts) and is prone to slipping ◯Good points ・Almost Nordic design, that's all, easy to match with any style depending on the band ・The heart rate monitor is decent, and the sleep measurement is roughly correct ・Battery life ◇Other than that ・I haven't used any activities other than the pedometer, so no comment ・There is no second hand, and the lower circle shows the progress of the step goal ・In the photo, the digital color looks blue, but it looks closer to white when viewed with the naked eye. If you think of it as a fashionable analog watch with an activity meter function rather than a smartwatch, you won't be disappointed.

Cool smart watch
Affordable, stylish, intuitive, and easy to sync with my iPhone. I like the combo analog dial and digital readout. Comfortable and breathable wristband. Excellent app. 25 day charge.

Great smartwatch. I moved from an Apple Watch through to this Withings and have been very pleased.

This was a smart buy
I had the Body+ scale and used the Health Mate app.Impressed with both, and when I learned that Withings offered an activity monitor with excellent battery life, I bought one immediately. So far, it performs perfectly for walking, running, and sleep monitoring.Next I will try using it for biking and weight training.I bought the white dial, and might get the black dial also.Update:The watch has performed well for weight training and bicycling also.I’m very impressed with how well it links with the Strava app for bike rides. After several long work-outs, the battery is still a long way from needing a recharge.Update no.2:I bought the black dial and now have both (black and white dials). Both are working perfectly. The Health Mate app easily allows two watches on a single user profile without any confusion.I’ve come to rely on the silent alarm to wake me early for my 5am barbell training at the gym.My wife never hears me get out of bed and head downstairs.Strong recommendation for this product.

Stylish and praised by everyone.
I am satisfied because I chose it based on appearance rather than function. The small black window that displays various information is difficult to read because it disappears before I can look at my wrist and read it when something is displayed and vibrates. However, I don't intend to read messages with this, so I think it's just something that notifies me if something comes. Before buying this, I hadn't worn a watch for a while, so I felt uncomfortable at first and unconsciously bent my wrist, causing pain in my wrist for about a month. I realized that I had a habit of bending my wrist strangely and stopped doing it, and the pain went away and now I have forgotten that I am wearing it. It can be indirectly linked with other health management apps that are linked with Google Fit.

Ideal hybrid smartwatch, but the clock part must not break
The battery lasts a long time (no need to charge for a month if you don't use bluetooth connection much), it's light, thin, the design is also neat, the activity record is quite accurate, and if you synchronize it with your smartphone, it will also adjust the time. So I replaced the band with laminaze and revived the habit of wearing a watch when going out for a while. However, about a year and a half after purchasing it, the clock's drive part broke down in less than two years. The minute hand stopped moving forward as if it had caught on something, and I was in danger of being late. The warranty period has already passed, and it seems impossible to access and repair the clock from the back because the battery is in the way. Even looking at online reviews, it seems almost impossible to expect after-sales support in such cases, so I switched to another product (heavy and rugged). The design and functionality are great, but if the durability of the clock function cannot be trusted, I will be cautious about buying it again.

Like the look with an analog face....
Hard to figure out how to set up. Still working to download app. Really like the look of the watch. I have never been a digital watch person and am glad to see this development with an analog face. Now, I just need to get it to work.
28/04/2021 | anonymous
Love the watch. Easy to setup and fairly problem free. Until the lens cracked.
Easy to setup. Usually connects and updates through my phone without a lot of fussing.Sadly about 3 weeks after getting it something cracked the lens. Wasn't aware of anyimpact or contact made and a crack appeared. Sppt did not have a way to replace justthe lens and since it was within a year of purchase they recommended simply return/replace via Amazon.Battery life appears to be as expected although I never went all the way down to 25 days.Glad I bought the white background as it was easier to read in low light conditions.Sleep and pulse tracking were great. Occasionally there would be gaps where the pulse/sleepwere not recorded for several hours. Not sure why yet but only happened once or twice.
27/04/2021 | anonymous
Not quite there
Love the fact that this looks and feels very much like a traditional watch. Features are good, but not unlike those you can get in a product at half the price. Their app continues to be great. Overall, the watch is comfortable. The pictures here on Amazon makes the watch look a lot better than it actually is. The watch is black on black - I would expect that the numbers on the face would be white - making it readable. However, the dark grey hue on the numbers make it impossible to read. If I wanted a simple digital watch, there are those for much less. While one fault - it is a major one that doesn’t justify the price. Going back to Amazon.

Good battery life and easy to turn on and off.
The battery life is good. Even if you use it every day, it lasts about a month on a single charge. The design is also good, it matches with suits for work and casual clothes for holidays. There were many good reviews, so I bought it without seeing the actual product, but it was the right choice!!
26/04/2021 | anonymous
Good looking, battery life not near what's advertised.
A good looking hybrid watch, a little lacking on the tracking features. More importantly, the battery life was no where near 25 days, i think it reached 0% in under two weeks from full charge.

Smart Multifunction Watch
The watch, pedometer, and various notifications and functions are limited, but the design is overwhelmingly smart. It is simple and lightweight as a wristwatch, and has a dignified appearance. In addition, the battery life is surprisingly long and lasts for several weeks. In fact, after purchasing it, the sub-dial of the activity meter stopped working after a few months, so I emailed support. There is no Japanese contact, and inquiries must be made in English from the English HP. The response was very polite, and it was decided to exchange it for a new one free of charge. However, since there is no such contact in Japan, the exchange was made through a friend living in Europe. As someone who does not need pay or electrocardiograms, I am very satisfied with the design, function, and battery life, but there is a very high hurdle for support.

Great Looking Watch - Doesn't Track GPS
Great looking watch, love the sleep tracking information and step counter. My only complaint would be that it doesn't track your run unless you bring your phone with you. I bought this so that I wouldn't have to bring my phone with me while I exercise. If you're paying this much for a smart watch you'd expect it to at least be able to tell you your mile time and distance run. Other than that, I love the watch!

battery life is great
I bought this watch because i was tired of charging my other smart watch every night, plus i wanted a change. i love that it doesn't look like a smart watch, just a regular watch you can wear with anything. the battery life really is great, and I wanted to see how long it would last before i 'had' to charge it. I got the watch on a Friday, charged it, wore it all weekend long, and only put it on the charger while i was in the shower, Monday morning was the last time I charged it, and I wore it constantly for TWO whole weeks, i mean, I only took it off to shower and didn't charge it all. I wore it all day long! slept with it on, it tracked my workouts, my steps, heart rate, monitored my sleep, got phone call notifications, I wore it in the pool, so i know its water proof. after two weeks, or two Mondays later, the battery was at 13%. So i say that's pretty good. put it on the charger this morning for about 20 minutes and it was over 50% charged, so that will get me through another week.Soooo... yeah, you should buy it.

Great watch
Great looking watch and provides nice functionality. I didn't want an Apple Watch, but I did want something that looked nice, had some smart watch features and could be my daily watch that I use at work and the gym. I'd highly recommend this watch.

Well worth the money - love my Withing watch.
I’ve had this watch for over a year and I absolutely love it.I can even compare it to the Apple Watch.First, the battery life is spectacular on the Withing watch. The battery life on the Apple Watch absolutely sucks. The Withing watch has not been charged for a month and it’s at 50% right now.I had to charge the Apple Watch every other day.I love the watch face, how simple and elegant it is.The features of the watch is easy to use with the push of the side button. The list of exercises you can program is extensive. You can also choose to get notifications on the watch for texts, phone calls, or apps.It tracks sleep cycles and steps accurately.I also bought the Withing scale which is was a very worthwhile purchase as well.Definitely very happy with the Withing purchase. It has been well worth the money. And I never wear the Apple Watch anymore.Yes, the Apple Watch has a lot more features, but I almost always have my smartphone with me and felt it was duplicative and overkill to have a watch that does the same thing my phone does.

Love it, very few drawbacks
I love this watch. I wanted to be able to track workouts without having a bulky ugly smart watch on and I wanted the battery to last more than half a day. This does all of that and more. It’s integrated into all of my apps (my fitness pal, Apple health, Renpho) and its sleek and user friendly. I personally like that it’s not a touch screen and that the digital display is small. Small con: sometimes during workouts it will track my heart rate low when compared to other heart rate trackers. Not sure why and it’s not a huge deal for me, but could be prohibitive if you are needing super accurate measures

Great minimalist device to achieve fitness goals
Ive had this 20 days, and overall, I love this watch. It's perfect for counting steps (very accurate) and calories. Not as accurate with GPS but I come across that issue with various apps and devices,so it's not a deal breaker for me.Sleep is mostly accurate.I have sleeping problems and tend to wake up often and it doesn't always record it perfectly, or will miss when I was actually awake and asleep. Also doesn't record my naps from what I've noticed.I love the features, the minimalist look, the in-depth app.The takeaway: great watch for overall fitness. With the step counter, calorie counter, in depth app and sleep tracking,it's a beautiful minimalist device with great features and an in-depth app that will help you achieve fitness goals.

Satisfied because I wanted to use it simply
I bought it as my first smartwatch. I like the casual design. I think it has sufficient functions for me, who is in my 50s and has no underlying diseases. The number of steps, heart rate and calorie consumption during daily training, and the quality of sleep are data that look just right for me now. The only drawback is that my skin is not very strong. It itches when I wear it for a long time. I clear it by changing it from left to right.

Great battery life
I like the battery life much better than having to charge ever day or 2. Once a month is great! It is a comfortable fit. The functions are accurate and transfer to the app.
24/03/2021 | anonymous
Simple with the bare minimum
Although the smartphone connection sometimes doesn't work well, you can manage the necessary minimum data properly. It's more accurate and reassuring than continental-style products.

A smart watch that is not 'too' smart
I have a couple of smart watches and HATED having the watch compete with my speakers, Bluetooth headset and feel like wearing an SE strapped to me wrist! This watch tracks workouts, sleep and looks like a sleek analog watch. I also never liked the 'Dick Tracy' features of the other smartphones...best watch I ever had!!!

Love it!
I’m training to become a home inspector and wanted a watch to connect so I wouldn’t miss calls/texts while working. I needed the watch to be at least water resistant for rain and be on the sportier side to take a bit of a beating. This one seemed to fit all my needs.I haven’t used it as an inspector yet (almost finished training), but I have been using it during my job as a Amazon Delivery Driver.I’m constantly hustling and moving in and out of the van into all kinds of weather here in Washington state and the watch has been exactly what I needed. It does a great job counting my activity as a delivery person and interesting to see how many miles a day I move on the job.

Fitness
This product is good for someone who doesn’t want a smart watch but wants to get notifications. The glare on the watch bugs me and on my run it didn’t track about 1/4 of it. This watch isn’t a fitness watch like it is trying to be. This watch was somewhat of a let down for me as I was looking for somewhat of a fitness watch, however if you aren’t looking for a fitness watch and glare doesn’t big you, it’s a great choice without a doubt.

High comfort
The quality of the corresponding application is easy to use without discomfort as I have been using it before purchasing a smartwatch. I can always check my heart rate while sleeping, which eliminates my worries. The battery life is currently at its highest level. The charging time is not that long, so there is no inconvenience.

Elegance and beauty with all the function of a smart watch
Love my Withings SteelHR. Battery Lasts a month between charges, is sleek, stylish and looks like an elegant watch. I did switch mine to the black face, and added a leather band from Withings for an even more elegant look. No more ugly Apple Watch, with its 1 day battery!

Almost a perfect device, and still is after 2 years
With a few exceptions, I wear this watch constantly. It has all the features that I was looking for, looks good, and the battery life is crazy(After 2 years I still charge it maybe once a month).Though some people don't like the wristband, it has been perfectly comfortable for me and I recently purchased another silicone one(pictured). Sleep tracking works great as far as I'm aware, and activity tracking/step counting have helped me stay a bit more physically healthy.I have not been very careful with this watch, and I'm surprised that the only damages to it are a few scratches on the glass. My only real complaint is the alarm - it shuts off if you click the button once. After maybe a year the alarm no longer woke me up because shutting it off is easy and second nature, even to 99% asleep me. I am hoping that they add some customization to this(Like three long presses to shut off the alarm or something). Its still great for reminders throughout the day, but not for waking up to.I highly recommend - Overall comfortable, stylish, long-lasting, and durable. My next watch(if this one ever breaks) will definitely also be a Withings

Good for both business and sports
The design matches well even for light jogging from business scenes. I am satisfied that the app is also linked with healthcare and run keeper. The protrusions on the back of the attached belt have come to the surface. Belt improvement is necessary.

I’ve got the time!
I definitely like this Withings sport model. It’s easier to wear and I like raising my wrist to see the time EVERY time! The only thing I wish it had is a built in timer. I do miss my Fitbit for that reason.

Great gift
This product has definitely helped us track the overall health with my father. Tracking wellness and wellbeing, is definitely what we expected, we weren’t expecting the modivation to do better then the day before. Would definitely recommend!

Great watch!
Husband keeps raving about his watch. Been a month, he hasn't charged it yet.He does have a hard time seeing the hands against the background. I guess that is another vote for the white background.Withings, could you make some white hands for the dark background, though? That black background is a much sharper look.

Great battery life and functionality
Great battery life.

Best looking fitness tracker.
I love the look of this watch. It’s not chunky like the Fitbit or the Apple Watch. It’s simple and sleek. Love the different watch bands.

Exactly what I want from a smart watch
It looks like a watch, lasts weeks at a time, tells the time, wakes me up, tells me about phone notifications, is waterproof, tracks my fitness and otherwise stays out of the way. It's pretty much perfect and after having used it for a while I'm not sure why anyone would want a less passive or beautiful watch.

Works better than a Fit Bit!
I had a Fit Bit and when I got this, I wore both, and the Withings is more accurate by a landslide. I was so impressed I bought one for my mother. Great product!

Excellent product
Excellent fitness watch away from the fit bit crowd. Looks and feels like a traditional watch but with fitness tracker. Came in lovely box and has a good app. 30 day battery life is a huge plus along with it not being as bulky as most fitness watches. Love the look.

Great partner to my Withings scale. Highly recommended

Lovely looking watch, but not worth the price
It is very pretty looking watch. I have a small wrist and I wanted a hybrid watch(not smartwatch), so I ordered this one and the Fossil Charter HR. Looks wise Withings is much better than the Fossil watch, but functionality vise Fossil is much better. What I disliked the most about the Withings watch is that the screen to see your activity is too small, and it only shows one thing at a time. You have to keep pressing the button on the side to see your steps, press again to see sleep pattern, press again to see heart rate etc. I returned it and kept the Fossil watch. Very happy with that.

Great buy and stylish
This is a great watch and very stylish. More accurate than my fitbit versa 2 and a whole lot better looking. Liked it so much I bought my Wife one and she loves it better than her fitbit hr.

The perfect smart watch for those who want a real watch!
This watch is what I've wanted all along. Discreet, smart, analog and with notification. Looks and feels good and does all that I want, nothing I don't. I replaced the watch band with a magnetic one in matching color which took the watch up a notch visually while being very easy to take on and off. These new magnetic bands should replace the watch band as we know it and goes perectly with this watch. The app is good also and covers all the activity and functional features I use. It's just all good as far as this watch goes. And who doesn't want real hands on a watch and still have it be smart?

Not digital
Analog appearance. However, a smartwatch with long battery life. I liked it.

Perfect everyday tracker
Was looking for a watch that could track health data without being too expensive or too bulky. This watch fit all of that criteria and more. This watch looks so good! No one knows it’s a smart watch unless you tell them! The price point is reasonable especially for the accurate tech that is in this device. Not great for someone trying to train for an athletic feat but perfect for just your average joe looking to get more healthy. Recommending to all of my friends! Only con is the silicone band rubs on the skin, but most people have problems with those no matter the brand.

A decent enough fitness tracker for the casual crowd
Note: I have had the watch for about a week.I would make a Pros&Cons list because it's really not that black and white. The accuracy is weirdly inconsistent in some areas and somewhat better in other ones.- Heart Rate: (7/10) I heard a lot of not-so-great reviews in regards to the heart rate monitor, and well, it's true. But if you're not in a dire need of the best of the best heart rate tracking technology then maybe any sort of wrist-worn HR tracker isn't for you. (Or get an Apple Watch)- Step Counter: (5/10) The steps are crazy off. Sometimes there's a delay in recognizing the steps but sometimes they just don't register. There have been times where it would register steps while I'm sitting or even laying down.- Calories Burned Tracker: (?/10) I really can't say how accurate or inaccurate this is. As far as I am aware most wrist-worn fitness trackers are not really accurate when it comes to tracking this in particular so I'll assume it's not very accurate.- Sleep tracking: (7/10) This right here is really interesting. The very first night, it did very poorly in tracking my sleep. It said I woke up hours earlier than I actually did and it has done this another 3 times since then. But, and I do mean BUT, it has an interesting feature where you can edit the sleep times (through the app) and has an option to fill in that edited data with sleep data. I can't really say if the filled-in data is accurate or not, but I do believe it's better than having just empty data. I also believe that it takes time for the watch to get used to YOU and your sleeping habits. I've noticed more believable data the more nights I've worn it (even the filled-in data). Conclusion: Overall I do not regret the purchase, BUT it is a little pricey. I would've felt more comfortable with the price being closer to $125. I believe this could be a watch for people who aren't really interested in fast and accurate data, but more so for the casual crowd of folks who need to see minimal data during their workouts and runs.Overall Rating: (7/10)

I like this a lot!
I really like the clean look, I like the fit, I like the design. The battery life is great. It charges fast, and barely needs a charge. It's very simple and out of the way. I never feel like I don't want to wear it for an occasion. The notifications are nice and simple and out of the way. It doesn't annoy me with constant notifications, but the little text notifications are nice too see. The workouts are fun and easy to start up. I don't worry too much about the accuracy, but it gives me a little motivation every day to do a workout. Maybe my favorite fitness tracker for the design and options put together.

Easy to set up and use and brilliant battery life
What a great bit of kit, easy to set up and use app, pleased with all aspects
16/02/2021 | anonymous
Easy to understand heart rate. Don't know blood pressure. Easy to understand sleep.
If you wear it for 2 to 3 days, the part of the arm where you wear it will become irritated. Also, I don't know the blood pressure numbers.

Worth getting
Nice product, helps keep me in touch with my health.

Love the app
Nice addition to my Withings bath scale and blood pressure cuff.

No need for long-term charging
With a full charge, it can last for 3-4 weeks if the active tracker is not used frequently. General notifications such as emails and LINE messages are delivered properly (but cannot be confirmed). It measures heart rate, but cannot measure SpO2, which has been a recent topic. If you want long battery life and a relaxed activity history, this may be the best option.

It's the perfect smartwatch for me
I absolutely LOVE this watch. I have been an Apple Watch wearer since they first came out, but recently decided to try to be less dependent on screens. However, I didn't want to give up some valuable features like sleep tracking, exercise tracking, steps, etc. Oh, and I wanted to be able to know what time it was.The step counter seems accurate enough, and I love that my step progress appears to be an analog dial (something about a digital metric being displayed analog is really cool to me). I haven't pushed the battery as far as it can go yet, but I have gotten at least 20 days before charging (And charging is crazy fast -- I went from like 20% to full in under an hour). It's super easy to start workouts -- and unlike the Apple Watch, the app allows you to edit your workout after the fact (I.e. if you select 'Other', you can go back into the app and change it to 'Yoga').This has everything I personally need in a smartwatch, without worrying about OS updates, running out of memory, charging every day, or just fighting with a 1.5' UI every time I want to tell the time.I can't recommend it highly enough!

Overall good product
Great look for any occasion, feels well built. Strong vibration allert. The silicon ban caused a small rash after prolonged use with skin being sweaty. Recommend the stainless steal band.

So cute
I was looking for a more stylized fitness watch after being a Fitbit customer for about 8 years. I switched from the Fitbit Versa 2 to this watch. Obviously, the Withings watch has way fewer capabilities than Fitbit but if you are just looking for steps and phone notifications, this watch is great. I really like how the digital bubble allows you to see the digital time and date in addition to the analogue clock face. The band is a really high quality looking rubber, I've gotten aslight rash a couple of times from not drying completely after washing my hands but overall, it's very comfortable. The charge also lasts a really long time.

It's tough not having a place to repair
Due to my job, I want to see the time in dimly lit places without using light, so I ended up looking for an analog clock smart device. It lasts for a month on a single charge and has a design that is praised for its elegance no matter where you go. Fortunately, there were no problems like those mentioned in the reviews, but two years ago, it started to deviate from the correct time. The cause is probably due to my mischievous cat knocking it off the dressing table several times. Even if I adjust the time, it deviates by 4 minutes after 30 minutes. It's not going to deviate any further, so I guess I just need to adjust it 4 minutes ahead. In the future, I wanted to buy a series of scales as well, but I'm realizing that it's painful to not have repair support.

Great battery life!
I bought this to track my workouts and sleep patterns. It does a pretty good job on both. The sleep tracking sometimes says I'm light sleeping when I am not so that isn't always accurate. The battery life is super and I have only charged it twice since receiving it as a Christmas gift. (4 and 1/2 weeks!) I don't mind that the face is large for my small wrist but the style is great and I highly recommend this watch.

No durability issues
I have been using it every day for 2 years. I don't take it off even when bathing, but there is no fogging on the glass. The battery life is good and the notifications work. The glass is prone to scratches, so I will buy the sapphire glass model next time.

Good for Casual Use
I bought the Steel HR for my mother as a gift. She'd been mentioning wanting something that can track her heart rate, but always have the time available without having to turn on or do some weird hand motion. And does this watch do that?Yes.Setting the time wasn't terribly intuitive. However, the watch did sync up well after the second try and hasn't been having any trouble communicating with my mother's phone since. All things considered, though, I believe my mother adapted to learning how to use this watch fairly well. She's also told me that she's been given plenty of compliments on how stylish the watch is. She has also made a note to tell me that it charges quickly, so she rarely has to go without it. All in all, she is pleased now that she's gotten used to it.And if she is pleased, I am pleased. However, there are some inconsistencies and inaccuracies in the step-count, or so she has told me.And she isn't a fitness nut. She's just a 60-something year old woman trying to be more mindful of her health.I imagine this watch probably would not impress a serious athlete or fitness expert, but it does well for her.

Nice solid watch
The app is not nearly as useful as Fitbit app and the screen is pretty small to program functions while out playing golf etc. but the band is comfortable and seems to work well. Not sure if it is tracking my steps as good as Fitbit.

All round watch, elegant but also offers everything your leading fit trackers and smartwatches do
Very good, accurate for steps and sleep. About 100m per 2km out on connected GPS, watch looks very good and looks good when wearing business clothes..very impressed with it...

Like the batteryDislike the LED light display is too dim

Low battery consumption
You can use it without looking at the manual. Even if you keep it on all the time, the battery consumption is low. The design is also simple and doesn't get boring.

Very impressed with this watch.
I previously had two smart watches that I liked a lot. The LG Urbane first generation and the Fossil Explorist 4 with heart rate monitor. Both great watches. The LG Urbane had a better battery life than the Explorist, however, it did not have a heart rate sensor on it. One thing that I absolutely hated was charging these things every day or every second day or risk losing your data. While I like the media player and see a brief glimpse of a notification, I gladly would have trade all that for not having a charger with me all the time. I shopped around for a bit before I settled for the Withings Steel HR Sport. I wanted a hybrid watch and I think I found what I wanted. First, I will describe my only gripe with the watch, I expected it to be bigger. That is it. My Urbane was slightly bigger and my Explorist was bigger by about 20 to 30%. That is the only thing. Everything else I have liked thus far. It is a good cross breed between simplicity and elegance and I love it. Truth is, I barely feel it on my hand, but in a good way. I slept with it last night and I can't compare it to the Explorist, which used to bother me throughout the night. I barely felt it, to the point that I thought it had fallen off. It woke me up when I needed it, even though the vibration is not as intense as the other one. Even the strap it came with is awesome. I read bad things about it in another review and I proceeded to order some other ones because of it, but I found that the review missed its mark. The strap is very comfy, it does not rub against my skin and it dries up very quick after a shower and it can be taken out in a cinch. The notifications show up as the messages one sees on electronic boards when driving on roads with traffic conditions. It is quite neat actually. The convenience of changing a music track on a smart watch or lowering/increasing the volume of the music is something I can easily live without. I am very happy with the purchase thus far. And I think anyone who buys this watch will not be dissapointed.

Amazing, especially battery life!
Has a Withings pop watch and also have the aura and scales so it’s great everything is in the one app, also connects into google and apple fit and from there other apps too.I love that when you set it up you select what apps to get notifications from, default being off for all... my wife’s watch is always buzzing and I know when my wrist vibrates it’s something important. The heart rate monitor is within a beat or two of my chest worn one which is great; sleep tracking is on par with the Aurora pad.The watch is really easy to use and the battery life is amazing, have charged it once since I got it months ago and it charges super fast, think it was about an hour from the battery critical level when it just tracks steps and tells the time - only concern is I might lose the charger as it’s hardly used!Massively recommend this watch over something with a giant battery draining screen.

Nice watch - Problems receiving notification
Bought this for my wife for Christmas based on a friends recommendation to replace her fitbit. She loves it. Turns out these watches don't always receive notifications properly due to some issues with Bluetooth. Two of our friends have this issue and after googling it, it is very common. As my wife is mostly using this for the fitness tracker stuff she can overlook this issue as it has some great features and looks much classier than other smart watches.

A Good, Basic Fitness Watch
I bought this because I'd had a good experience with other, simpler Withings watches and didn't feel ready for a more complicated and expensive smart watch. The Steel HR Sport looks like a watch, not some piece of wearable tech, which in my book is a big plus.It does what it's supposed to, mostly, and is very easy to use.The battery really does last for weeks between charges, which is great.I also like the HealthMate app that provides a more capable user interface with the watch.I do have two complaints:1) the sleep tracker doesn't always figure out when I go back to sleep after spending an hour or more awake during the wee hours, and 2) the heart rate monitor doesn't work will with an elevated heart rate (jogging etc.).It's been fine for walking and non-active pursuits, but for running it seems to be consistently 20-30 bpm too high compared to a manual measurement of my heart rate.Recently I was given an Apple watch which doesn't seem to have the same problem monitoring heart rate, but then the Apple watch costs much more. The Apple watch is also far more complicated, has more features than I am likely to ever use, and its graphical interface is just too busy. Finally, the Apple watch needs to be charged much more frequently, like every couple of days, which feels like a burden.I'd get the Steel HR Sport again, and just know that the sleep and heart rate functions aren't always accurate.

Can be used for work and private life.
The battery lasts for about a month. The belt starts to peel and shine where the silicone hits the buckle from the moment you start using it, but it is a consumable item, so if you are concerned, you may need to replace it frequently. I have another hybrid watch from a different manufacturer, but it is lighter due to the silicone belt compared to that one. I think the step count is close to the actual number of steps. It would be even better if email and notification history could be saved.
